2021 WRs-slot and otherwise

Agreed. Granted Marquise Goodwin speed doesn't grow on trees, but I'd like to add that element back to the offense. Aiyuk can be a deep threat, but as a number 1, Kyle will be using Aiyuk to do everything. I'd like a receiver that forces DBs into an immediate backpedal.

In the last 3 draft how many picks have they used on WR? I'm hoping for no WR in this draft. OL, DB, Edge, LB, QB. in any order.

They traded picks for Sanders, Deboo, and Brandon Aiyuk. drafted Jalen Hurd, richie James, and Jauan Jennings almost forgot traded up for Dante Pettis. I think that's 11 picks since 2018, 19 and 20. This is why there depth so bad lets trade 2 more pick and get another WR and have no depth at rush end, OL get an injury and have no backup that is worth playing. Special teams start to suffer when depth get thin.

I hope Travis Benjamin will be there third WR next year

I'm hoping for Terrance Marshall 6'4" 200 pounds, he had a good year with 10 TD's. I wonder if he'll fall to the 3rd round?

Jaelon Darden looks really good. I would take him in the 4th or even use our 3rd round comp pick on him.
It's nice to not have this be a top priority. For the first time since we had Rice & Owens, I feel confident that we have an elite group that is young. Only thing we are missing is that elite burner that makes teams play deeper, but we're in a good position where we're only looking for a WR 3 and depth!!! I was mad when we got Deebo over AJ Brown, and Aijuk came out of left field for me due to the 4.5 40. Shannahan has hit on 2/3 early wideouts. Hoping we can find a gem in the later rounds. 10 picks is pretty good.

You won't like Benjamin's drops. I like him to compete, but I'm not handing him the 3rd WR spot. With 10 picks, we can add someone to the mix. It is frustrating the amount of capital spent on the position, however it's a passing league and I'd like 3 guys we can count on . Also, no one out of James, Hurd, Jennings, or Benjamin is assured a roster spot. James is going into the last year of his deal. Round 3 or 4 would be a good spot.

I think WR is around sixth of position they even need to think about. If they want to use a seventh round pick on a WR ok. They need CB, Safety, Edge, OL, and QB before they need another WR. If they can not sign T Williams they are going to need a OT and a Center. Is Dee Ford coming back ??? they need a Rush end. No CB are signed they need to find someone to play CB. Sure they can sign free agent but they can find a cheap free agent to play third WR. Plus they already have James, Hurd, Jennings, and Benjamin plus White on practice squad to work this off season to play third WR.
49ers need a slot receiver badly and this year's class is like slot receiver Heaven. If we don't tap into that pool I'd be absolutely shocked.
Slot: Jaelon Darden, N.Texas

#3WR: Jonathan Adams Jr., Ark State

Both could be available in Day 3.
Imo we are fairly set with Deebo and Aiyuk. I would love a true burner wr3 to stretch the field. Any obvious ones in the draft?
Marquez Stevenson, Houston

The 3rd or 4th round thing is contingent on a few guys resigning. I'm not married to them drafting one that early however.
They should draft one in the 4th or 5th round since I have no confidence in Hurd coming back. Just being real

Chris Olave. If we trade up for a QB in the 1st and get lucky he may fall out of rd. 2. They could then grab him in the 3rd with the Saleh comp. He runs great routes and can be the burner we need to open the intermediate areas for Yuk and Kittle.

Even if healthy Hurd isn't a burner.

Nice. I'd be amazed if we trade up.
