2021 LBs

I second this. Someone I hope we target in the 4th. He may not have the fluidity in coverage, but definitely has range to keep up with Wilson and Murray.

Interesting. I generally appreciate and agree with many of your draft prospect takes, and not only do I have Parson as the top LB, I have him as the top defensive prospect and the #3 overall prospect in the entire class not accounting for positional value.

I think he dropped amongst media because he opted out, and there have been some other impressive candidates with a bit of recency bias on their side.

from what i've seen online, he dropped because of some concern off the field and passion for the game. The fight with the teammate that included a knife is definitely a red flag.

From what I read, Him and some others were hazing a player and that player pulled a knife in retaliation. I definitely don't condone that type of behavior but purely as it relates to him as a prospect I wonder how common or uncommon it is in college locker rooms

Figured that Lynch would play it real safe with a prospect especially after what happened with Foster.

Definitely one of the enjoyable prospects to watch this past season. Zaven was literally EVERYWHERE.

you know when you do the turkey bowl and play against a bunch of people who suck at football and you just dominate. That's how this dude looks

I watched him early in the season and thought I was on to something! Mocked him as my 5th round sleeper and now he's a top 50 pick lmao. He's like a lesser Micah Parsons, excells at a bit of everything

I should have said he's not my top LB and that I wouldn't draft him due to his character concerns. He's certainly talented enough to be the first LB taken.

He would be a nice addition and really good SAM but I don't think they burn a 2nd or move into the 1st for him.
Zaven Collins is one of the earliest players I watched in this draft. Dude is essentially an edge defender playing stack LB lol. He reminded me a ton of Dont'a Hightower. The hoodie would definitely know how to maximize a dude like Collins.

People are going to disagree with whoever they pick in the first 3 rounds but truthfully, they need help in so many spots that almost any pick will be an upgrade. OL, LB, DE, QB, safety and corner are all going to need upgrades after free agency. What positions they address first will come down to who is available. I don't care what position they address as long as they get guys that can help and stay on the field.
Garret Wallow, TCU (6-2/230)
Hybrid LB, former Safety converted to LB. Speed and coverage skills is not bad for a Day 3 prospect.

I remember a few years ago when people would lose their s**t if a LB was under 240 lbs. It all started with Bobby Wagner, then Telvin Smith, Deion Jones and now, it's the pretty standardized weight for stack LB.
