I think there will be more viable options in the draft at CB and IOL that would make sense, as I think 4 QBs will be taken before our projected pick.

Gotta go QB imo. They probably won't be picking this high again, and can't go into next season not knowing who the QB of the future will be. Always been a fan of Jimmy but at this point, he simply isn't reliable or talented enough to warrant his salary. Look at the other 3 QBs in our division; those guys don't miss a game. Jimmy got hurt in NE, got hurt in 2018, and is hurt again. At some point, you can't just keep brushing them off. Personally, I'm sold on any of Fields, Wilson, or Lance and don't mind what they could need to give up to acquire one of them. Now, will they do it? I have no idea. If I had to guess probably not but one can hope.

normally I'd be more inclined to agree, but I don't think the value is there at either position in this class

QB if our guy is available.
After that ignoring potential trades my preference is IOL, Edge (Yup another DL) and CB.
A lot depends on who is available and when we pick.

Trade up - QB
Trade down - IOL
Stay put - CB, maybe edge (can't imagine the zone backlash for going DL again)
Assuming we're picking 10-12 and 4 qb's go before our original pick

QB all the way and then use some draft capital to upgrade the O-Line.

We don't know. Hence the speculation. Happy Christmas!

Whoever they pick it's certain that a lot of posters will think it was the wrong guy. That's the one thing that's guaranteed in the draft.

Extend Jimmy G. Save about 12-15 million in cap.
Draft- highest rated edge. 1st
Highest rated cb. 2nd
Highest rated Cen/ G. Salah comp. 3rd
Release Ford and Richburg June 1st
Between Jimmy , and the guys above we will have around 50 million cap space to sign free agents.
