If all the top 4 QB's are gone by the Niners pick, would you trade down?

Very true. I'm sure lots of teams would in hindsight draft a center if they knew he was going to be a truly great player. You have guys like Jesse Sapolu who can play center and guard. I'd say he was worth a first round pick earlier than 15. Maybe it's fan bias, but he seemed very crucial to the team when I watched him.

Knowing this team,.. you all can kiss off a trade down for a QB. Not happening. My guess is they're going to go DB then OL if we pick 15
I am for a trade down as long as we can stay in the first round and get another 2nd rd pick. With holes at OL, CB, and ER it makes sense to get an additional top pick.

THIS is my point, we are between 14 to 16 I believe, if there's a trading partner out there and we don't like the players available, I saw we trade down and get more picks... this is the year where we can draft UGLY but fill in our needs..

I still think that we can win with Grappy and I would rather strengthen up the OL - DBs and LBs.

I don't see them using a top pick on a DB, unless there was a Safety worthy of a mid 1st. I don't see it though. If they don't go QB or offense in general in the 1st then I can definitely see them going DE, maybe Greg Rosseau.
Maybe surtain drops
If its not the top 4 QB, then its not really worth it. Trade down. Prioritize OL, CB, and EDGE.

I also think Garappolo's days are numbered, but now that we've won a couple of games, we are not in a position to be trading up the farm for a question mark at QB. The only one I really trust is Trevor Lawrence, and we're not going to be trading up that high.

Given that Saleh is most likely leaving, and our whole secondary possibly departing, I am getting kind of worried about the defense in 2021.
Hopefully Surtain or Rousseau drop.
No way Surtain drops imo, he's going high

Yeah he's never mentioned during a game because teams totally avoid him lol.

WHICH really could be scary cause it means he's UNTESTED...
If any of Rousseau, Waddle, Surtain or Farley are there when we pick, we pick that player.

Not a deep safety class but there should be a good one available in the late 40s - Moehrig. Best single high this year.

Rosseau would be ideal but likely gone unless we get super lucky this weekend and wind up at 10. Top 10 in this draft you got 3 QBs (maybe 4), Surtain, Sewell, Chase, Parsons, Smith, Farley ...
At this point, Mac Jones has probably jumped Lance on many draft boards. Say what you want but recency bias does exist. I'd rank them as followed:

1. Trevor Lawrence
2. Justin Fields
3. Zach Wilson
4. Mac Jones
5. Trey Lance

I think you'll see some surprises this year in the top 10. Lawrence, Fields, Wilson, Sewell, and Smith are top 10 locks. You can probably add Surtain and Pitts too. Someone will reach for the second rated OL (Wyatt Davis). I'm not as high on Chase but someone may take him in the top 10. Micah Parsons is a weird prospect. Some have him ranked as high as 3rd overall. Others (including myself) see him as an over aggressive linebacker who takes himself out of many plays by rushing to the wrong gap. He could go anywhere from 3rd to 15th. I think Jaelen Phillips will end up going in the top 10. He's gonna be the #1 EDGE guy after all the evaluations IMHO.
