I might be a hater- but- I dont see too many current options better than Jimmy.

Lol simply being available to play is better than Jimmy
Trash. Dont let Chris Simms convince you otherwise.

I agree. But is he better than Rosen? Or what about Fitzpatrick? Fitztragic is a back up that wants a chance to start and we could sign him easily. So say Jimmy goes down again? Cool. Who is next man up that you believe in the most? Fitzmagic , Rosen , or Monds?

I would like to upgrade rather than make sideways movements and I- also- want that 3rd round pick drafting Monds would take away from us. So.....

So if it is about physical traits and believing everything thing else can be fixed then why is Kellen Mond and Jamie Newman not being considered amongst the traits crowd?

Serious question

I haven't watched enough yet, but at the moment it's because I don't think they're good QB's.

I'm not sure you quite understand this. Us "traits crowd" still think you should be good at playing QB.

I understand it. What I don't understand is why only certain QBs are able to learn under our coaching staff.

I hear it's not about the 1st year, our coaching staff can fix mechanics, reading defenses , He'll even accuracy and anticipation.

Why can't Mond, Newman and any other QB also learn these things? Again, it seems only certain QBs are being afforded the ability to learn, grow.

Which QB has learned under our coaching staff? I'm not seeing much by way of improvement from any of them.
Some of this is fairly impressive for a guy who will be a day two pick.

He's a value pick. Lots of dumb stuff too. But that's why he's not a first rounder.

That was my point long ago. I don't think alot of the issues some have are "teachable " better with experience yes but not necessarily teachable.

And I too stated exactly what you stated then I got the run around.

I wouldn't mind Mond or Mills, in the later rounds.

For what? Nothing I hate more than spending middle of the round picks on QBs, especially when you actually need a QB. Might as well draft a punter in the 4th at least he will play.

kid looks like Kap out there with his subpar footwork and weird high elbow release.

Kap's release is not really why he sucked. It was his eyes and lack of consistent anticipatory throwing.

So they just ignored the question?

I think Shanahan just knows how to protect a QB. He doesn't necessarily develop them.

Yeah, Mond is a better passer coming out than Kap was.
