Dak like, right? I mean, he reminds me of Dak in the way he plays, which is good, not great, and never enough to overcome.

It's weird that despite putting up big numbers and making plays, Dak gets crapped on constantly. We saw just how good that Dallas team is without him.

Is he a top 5 QB? Nope. But I have no doubt that you can make a major playoff run and win a SB with him as your QB.

I did not crap on him.

Look there is a fine line between being worth it or forcing a hand. He forced a hand in Jerryland. Good for him. He seems like a wonderful dude. I am sure he is a great man and hard worker but in the NFL, I like my chances with a better QB. I am sorry but as a recovering Kaepernick fan and longtime 49er fan, I see through all the b******t about if you have a great defense, a good running game, good-to-great coaching, and an average to above average QB, you can win it all. WE HAVE NEVER DONE SO. Maybe, we are cursed and we have to have an ALL-TIME great or something. Hell if I know. Am I biased? Absolutely, last time I checked this was a 49er fan board, I always think of my personnel decisions through the lens of the red and gold and sometimes...black.

And no, I disagree, you can't win with him now. Before the contract? Yeah. At 40 million per, the pieces he needs to be successful are going to be difficult to acquire. So, I am happy for the player, if I was Jerry, I wouldn't have done it, but, Jerry pulled a Jerry, and he got himself in a bind. If it works out I will come back and admit I was wrong, but I think things in big D just got a whole helluva lot harder for them to win.

He's got nothin on Tommy Chang.

WTF you two bringing up Hawaii QBs for, like scrap?
And it's Timmy not Tommy

I think he meant Tommy Chong dude. And he's right, that guy sucked as a quarterback, he was always on the Commissioner's exempt list.

59% career college completion percentage is worrisome. Four years at A&M: 71TDs to 27 Int. 22 games for Justin Fields, 68% completion and 67TDs-9INTs. Bringing up Fields because Simms has Mond higher than Fields. Not buying it.

Not a good idea to evaluate guys simply based on box score surfing. By that logic, Colt Brennan who threw for over 14,000 yards, 131 TD's and completed over 70% of his passes should have made the NFL his b***h.

Mond had a steep adjustment into a pro style offense and has shown consistent progress each and every year in the toughest conference in college football. That is what you want to see, how you can determine if they are really putting in the work in or just doing the bare minimum. Its the same thing you saw with Prescott. Overall his college stats weren't amazing but he got better each and every single year.

Odds are against him. Since 2010 draft failure rate for QBS not selected in R1 is 92%. 8 of 96 have become successful starters, but not always franchise QBs. Here are the 8: Wilson, Hurts, Cousins, Kaep, Prescott, Dalton, Carr, and JG. Gave Kaep and Hurts an lukewarm nod. If you set the bar at franchise QB it's 4 of 96. Wilson, Prescott, Carr and Cousins, I guess.

R1 QBs are also no slam dun but odds increase significantly, 15 of the 33 picked in R1 have been entrenched as a franchise QB: Luck, Tannehill, Newton, Wentz, Goff, Mahomes, Watson, Mayfield, Josh Allen, Jackson, Murray, Jones, Burrow, Herbert, and Tua. Took some liberties with Wentz, Goff, and Tua. But figured it was equal since I included Kaep and Hurts in the other list. Also left off Winston and Mariota, who both were initially productive.

My point is Mond is a most likely dart throw with 92% of failing, if history is any indicator. And I do get some QBs of last couple years may still pan out, they also may not.

Rather take Tommy Tremble in R4.

I think Dak is pretty darn good, and my bias Loves Kellen Moore and I think he's made Dak Much better lately, but I still don't think any team has won a Super Bowl while paying their quarterback more than fifteen percent of the current year cap. Guys like Rodgers, Brees, and Wilson win one, and then get paid too much. Brady took less. It's empirical that it just doesn't work, so it's not smart to jump into that boat. Wonder what that means for Watson. Maybe Mahomes can break the mold, but he better hurry up before his team catches down with him.

Wow, Simms is pumping Mond up.1st round sounds crazy to me. But he does remind me of Dak
No to Mond. Bottom line.
Alright, I'm starting to believe Simms is on a disinformation campaign.

Does he think Mond is a better Pro than a college player? I just don't see it.
