Kellen Mond-QB-Texas A&M

His eye for WR talent is great too. He singled out Chase Claypool last year.

He's going to make a great GM for a team that can already draft defensive talent well. He be a great pairing for Saleh after they fire Trent Baalke.

That's a winding road, Jags will either have to hire Saleh away from the Jets and then fire Baalke. OR...the Jets will go full Jets and hire Baalke away from the Jags then subsequently fire him and hire Simms. It's a long shot, but I think there's a chance. 🤔😝

Comp pick in R5 sd where he's worth the gamble. 4% of QBs taken after R1 (96 total) since 2011 become franchise NFL QBs. Wilson, Carr, Dak, and Cousins. That's it. If you want to lower the bar, throw Dalton, Tua, and Hurts in. Then it's a whopping 7% chance.

Everyone thinks there is a sleeper or hidden gem: DeShone Kizer, Brett Hundley, Geno Smith, Davis Webb, Connor Cook , Christain Hackenberg, etc, etc. 96% of the time they fail.

Yeah but if what you thought every single one of those guys would suck?

Lol. Then we aren't having this discussion because they were never drafted. 😜

Can't deny his QB rankings in those lists.

He had Herbert #2 and Love #3 so sure you can ding his QB rankings. I'd be more impressed If he ranked Herbert #1 over Burrow. He is just looking for clicks by going against the consensus.

Would be ideal if Mond drops to 2nd round but I think NE would pick him up.

"Drops" to the second round?

Out of the pistol no less. Kap, you ain't fooling anyone.

He looks exactly like Kap.

I feel like he's a better passer than Kap.

I don't see anything resembling Kap. Mond's footwork is better in that his step is short when he throws. Doesn't throw like a javelin thrower either.

I think it's that he's tall, skinny, fast and strong armed and holds the ball in a rigid, immobile grip. Also has those long legs and long stride.

Dude looks like Kap for sure. They're even running pistol concepts with him.

Yeah I think our pick at the end of the third would be the earliest I'd be ok with this pick lol

and you guys know, it ultimately only matters whether I, a random poster on a message board, am ok with the pick
I'm halfway through the Florida game, one thing is immediately evident, he's better than Kyle Trask!

I love the release, it may look stiff, but it's like a pre cocked gun, and the ball jumps off his hand.

I hate the footwork and I hate the offense, I think he does go on Day 2, I'd be very interested with our comp pick, but doubt he lasts that long. Will keep watching though.
Love it when a QB fires it complete into a tight window off platform while under pressure on a crucial down.
