Right? I want no part of this kid but I got no problem acknowledging and absolutely stupid throw. This looks like some video trickery lol
That had more hangtime than a Wishnowski punt

Elite Physical traits. Played on a crap college team. Not saying he's the man but Damn. I'd be surprised if he's not drafted in round 1

This Pro Day trick shot is getting ridiculous, its starting to become like the NBA dunk competition. In the next year or two you're gonna have some QB throwing it through the goalposts while standing on the back of a moving rickshaw.
Sure seems like Mond, Mills and Trask are going to get drafted higher than people think. There are more than 5 teams looking for a QB. After the top 5 go in the first round, how long are the other teams going to wait? Probably not past the 2nd. I could see some of these guys landing on good teams and being successful. Could Mond end up sitting behind Cam for a year on the Pats and then surprising people? Or on the Panthers?
Quite possibly a quarterback draft for the ages.
I was about halfway through evaluating Mond, when I thought we might miss out on a QB at 12, but stopped with the trade up.

I've been as high as being convinced he's at least a 2nd rounder, to thinking that he's a 6th round flyer at best.

The reality is somewhere in between. What's clear is that he has an absolute cannon, one on a level with the top 4 guys and on another tier to Mac Jones.

I don't knock the release, it looks awkward but the ball jumps out quicker than most others.

He has too many WTF moments for me, more than Fields and as many as Lance, there just seems to be a disconnect at times and I'm less forgiving of a Senior with his starting experience having them.

A vertical passing team should have this guy graded pretty high as it would play into his strengths, but I wouldn't have liked him nearly as much in our scheme. I was settling that he'd be worth a 3rd round dart throw for us, in the hope Kyle could develop him.

Imagine Mond sitting behind Brady for a year or two.

That is the absolute ideal situation for him, and with the strength of their roster they should strongly consider this with their 2nd round choice

Well you can blame Covid for that. All these pro-days scripted (I think) by the players themselves. I think this might change the way the NFL does combines in the future. Either the official NFL combine incorporates these trick shot QB slam dunk competition passes in their regular combine script or the players might just do it on their pro-days and have the NFL cover their pro days more than in the past.
