Kellen Mond-QB-Texas A&M

Not a fan even after the senior bowl. Of he's there though in the 5th I'm okay with that.

He misses sooooo many open receivers it isn't even funny. If it's possible he throws more short passes than JG and Alex.

His accuracy improved this year but i attribute that to shorter passes and WAITING for guys to get open as opposed to throwing them open or anticipating.

He's a big hell no to me UNLESS he can be had in say 6th 7th round and the plan is to use him as a QB3 in a Taysom Hill type roll.

If we are drafting him to "groom" as a QB. HARD PASS

I´m tired of guys thinking that a QB is very good only because they saw a couple of clips with him making a good throw.

That shouldn't convince anyone, but if your prospect isn't making "wow" throws regularly, why are you even wasting time on him? It shouldn't be the deciding factor, but it should be a minimum requirement.

this one is fookin' nice.

Let's be serious, Jimmy has to restructure so we can keep Both T and K Williams. Need to resign Juice and Hyder and Mosley. Draft Corner round 1, Edge round 2, IOL in round 3 (saleh Comp), then weigh Mond in Round 4 or 5. This kid is deadly accurate short to middle range and throws a nice deep ball, pretty swift on his feet as well.

Honestly, I think a lot of this Stafford and Watson talk is to push Jimmy into a restructure. They don't want to pay him 25 million bucks next year. Of course, to get him to make that deal I think you're going to have to give him more guaranteed money in place of higher overalls.

I had this kid very early as Shanny's project in the late 3rd, so I guess it could be safe to say that we can use that 3rd rounder reward or even the 4th rounder on drafting this kid or Ehlinger..

What is your fascination with MEH-linger? He's more likely to be undrafted than 3rd round, IMO

I just think that he's Niner bound... and since Shanny's from the UT I would not be surprise to see this kid come to Santa Clara to compete for the 3rd string job as a rookie..

I've seen this movie before.

On a side note, I don't know what it is, but something about Mond reminds me of Kaepernick. No, it's not being a light-skin black dude. But something about him reminds me of Kap. I just can't put my finger on it.

They both run similar, that long legged stride.

It's seem to be rare these days to find a QB who throws the ball in stride. It's like a lost art lol. Damnit! Throw it where he's going not where you see him!

Lol. All about value.

Elite arm strength doesn't grow on trees. Neither does mobility.

Haha true. However, making this throw accurately is a HIGH difficulty throw. But that's the point: if the QB is going to considered day one or early day two, I feel like high difficulty throws should be a prerequisite.

Looks like a more mobile version of Jimmy G

I mean, in stride would have been more impressive yes, but I'd still qualify that as a high difficulty throw, and one that quite a few NFL QBs can't make. The placement was adequate.
