Exactly!!

Mediocre arm
Never throws outside the numbers
Doesn´t throw deep
Not really accurate

This guy is the mobile version of Jimmy

Mond seems to have a rocket to my eyes. Some of those passes in these highlights were way faster than anything Jimmy throws.

The idea is if he's there on late day 2 or day 3. Kind of like where Jacob Eason was picked. You're just picking a guy because he has a strong arm and mobility, with the hope that he'll follow a Kaepernick trajectory.

Those are passes, he completed him, therefore he's a passer. And mobile obviously. You're welcome!
No matter what you think about Mond, he is a prospect that the Niners could look at as a developmental QB, but only under a very specific set of circumstances IMO.

The Niners could pick Mond early on day 3 IF:

- the Niners DON'T trade away all their draft picks for Watson
- the Niners DON'T re-sign Rosen, Mullins or Beathard
- the Niners DON'T make an aggressive move up in the draft to get one of the top 4 QB's
- the Niners DON'T land either Mac Jones or Davis Mills on day 2 of the draft

Trey Lance played one year in low level North Dakota and would require the #12 1st rd pick

Kellen Mond started 4 years in the SEC and played great and prob could be had with 3rd rd pick

Is that a Grant Cohn scouting report??

This feels exactly like when Dak Prescott was coming out, 4 yr starter in the toughest conference, played good and got better every year, mobile, good arm, but both not getting much shine and considered mid round picks, now the million dollar question is will he become anything close to Dak ?
