Round 1.
Pick 15: DB, Jaycee Horn: Good size frame that is built for battling x-receivers. Good press coverage skills and technique. Willing to jam receivers at the release and use his hands to re-route them. Has plenty of play strength and speed. Has success in zone coverage, staying leveraged, cueing the backfield and working into throwing windows. Physical and aggressive in coverage.
Round 2.
Trade down for more picks.
43(49ers)-63,94,158(Bills)
Pick 63: DB, Paulson Adebo: With the speculation that a bulk of our CB group leaving this will be a major need. But Paulson another great length DB aligns on the outside. Ballhawking CB, physical at contact.
Round 3.
Puck 94: IOL, Trey Hill: The 49ers OL was shaky in pass protection. Trey Hill is a massive 6'4, 330lb anchor. Has shown reliability in his pass protection. Smart player and a dominationing run blocker. Shows the ability to win at the point-of-contact. And is versatile on the line playing either center or guard.
Round 4.
Pick 108: S, Ar'Darius Washington: Vastly undersized at 5'8, 180 lbs. But a quality tackler and good coverage safety with the ability to play the nickel. Good instincts and ball skill to create a pass break up or interception. Plays big.
Round 5.
Pick 139: DE, Myjai Sanders: 10.5 TKLS and 7 sacks this year Myjai would be a steal with this pick. His snap anticipation and first step burst are no joke. He's got impressive cornering and hand skills.
Comments if you would like the rest. But I believe the 49ers will have a lot of players leave in free agency with most of them coming from the defensive side of things.
