It's a joke but I know some will crap themselves but for real... Wolverine D-Lineman? Meh I'd take a Buckeye D-Lineman any day

Rashan Gary with technique. Gary doesn't have this stab-chop in his toolbox.

But can he anchor though?
Does paye have the speed to get to Wilson and Murray? I've never watched any game film just highlights

He's pretty damn fast, especially for his size.

Check out his closing speed in these clips. He'd look like a velociraptor closing in on lunch.

Solly's problem isn't his bend. It's his lack of no pass rush plan and hand technique. Dude literally works down the center of every tackle when he's playing edge. Also, a 6.5 3-cone blows Solly's 3-cone away lol.

I don't get this connection between Kwity and Solly. Kwity is a pure edge rusher that sometimes plays inside. Solly never played edge in college--ever. Kwity actually has a pass rush plan and hand technique.

I haven't seen enough of him to judge, I'm not sure on the mold though, with us using AA as a edge on run downs, I really want a burner around the edge for 3rd downs. Not sure if he fits the mold.

If we wanted a 3 down edge I'd be more interested.

Hey if he's a stud I'm in, I know that you know your stuff when it comes to edges.

I might get into them, I'm stuck on QB's at the moment, but much prefer watching edges as you don't need the All-22.
(Please be there at 12, please be there at 12...)

I'm already having visions of his potential impact on this DL coming off the edge...and, his versatility to occasionally line up inside in different looks/personnel groupings.

I haven't done my homework completely, but if he's considered a 3 down edge who can rush the passer. Yes I would take him. You wouldn't take him?

NO, not til the 2nd round... or maybe if I'm one of the last 4 teams drafting in the 1st.. all honest here.. really..
That's fair, no arguing here brother. Just sharing of ideas lol I hope whoever they draft is a badass!

I'M with you on that one brah !! we need to get a real GEM from this draft or we gonna say BYE BYE to Shanny !!!

CAN someone show Phoenix the same SOLOMON highlight.. he's getting the wrong idea again of Paye..

He's beginning to see this guy as Aaron instead of Solomon...

How about you do it? Go ahead, break down the plays, show us exactly where you see him looking like Solomon Thomas and how their skillsets are in anyway similar?

Like others have stated he's more Brandon graham than Solly.

If you're looking for a burner Jayson Oweh or Roche...both are pretty damn small though. I can't see them holding up as edge defenders with their hand in the ground. 2nd and long or 3rd downs only. I also like Dimukeje in the 3rd (more of a traditional 4-3 DE) Kid from Georgia is interesting.

I would still rather attach edge via FA. I want Carl Lawson or Kerrigan on a discount.

I agree with ya, I'm all about QB right now lol.

Cheers NY, for me as long as we have AA, we're ok with a specialist pass rusher who's average against the run.

It would only shift if we're looking to replace him in the next few years (which we should be, but probably won't)

Yeah overall this edge class is meh....there's some depth there that might develop into something. But yeah like you I've focused on QBs lol

I feel responsible as I made the comment that he reminds me of Thomas. What I meant was that he's the best "edge" in a terrible class. If you draft him you would be purely for drafting his position and not for his ability compared to the rest of the potential selections at 12.

Another reason I think he's similar to Thomas is that his traits wouldn't all translate to the next level. I don't think he will have anything close to success like he did in that Minnesota game in the NFL. His hands are okay and he's not as explosive as I assumed he would be with the hype he's getting. Paye plays horizontally most of the time like Thomas, which is not what you want from a true pass rusher.

2 sacks in 2020 and people acting like he would produce like Ford when he was on the field. I just don't see it at all.
