idk I think this is a good point

The combine was best for us and the home arm chair GMs. It was filler for the down months of nfl scheduling. We probably did pick some people who didn't deserve it due to an outstanding combine like Mays.

That's the dude Iron Mike stood on the table for. Probably should have taken a hint from Pete Carroll passing on the guy after having coached him.

Why?
Bateman out with Exos 40 time of 4.39.

Probably +.1 on those times?

The first combine was a group called Lesto that became Blesto and then Blesto-V. It stood for Bears, Lions, Eagles, Steelers and Vikings talent organization. They pooled their resources and information as a way to try and get an advantage over the other teams. Tex Schramm of the Cowboys was instrumental in getting a league wide scouting combine that started in 1982. The networks quickly realized that anything to do with the NFL was good TV so it became the event it is today.

It's going to be interesting to see how many sub 4.0 times we see in these individual workouts. Since they are being conducted on different surfaces under different conditions I don't know how valid they are.
Wallace and Bateman definitely don't look like 4.3x guys. They also had some DT whos time would have set the combine record for his weigh, and had explosion numbers > Aaron Donald iirc. I'd definitely add .1 to these 40 times.
