QB need teams ahead of us in draft

It's just the Niners luck that in a year when they are possibly looking for a QB there are several others looking as well. What makes it even worse is they don't have as much draft capital as some of the other teams. I don't like their chances of getting a high profile guy.

They just keep Hill & Kelce and I don't see how they can be stopped.

Anyway, I want a QB who can win those games when things aren't perfect.

That's the thing. That player doesn't exist. You guys are HOPING that these "top 4" QBs can be a Josh Allen.

The actual Josh Allen couldn't win when things weren't perfect. In fact, during the broadcast ex NFL QB Tony Romo said that Allen needs to stay in the pocket.

You're wanting some unicorn that doesn't exist.
Jags: Lawrence
Jets: Fields
Lions: Wilson
Panthers: Jones (Rhule will coach him in the Senior Bowl)
Broncos: Lance
And the Giants most likely will want to move on from DJ

So, if the 49ers want Wilson, they need to trade with Cincy on draft day for 5th overall.
Otherwise they can trade #12 for Stafford, Rodgers, Watson
Otherwise, keep Jimmy G and make him take a reduced salary.

Not sure it was his fault, they were too conservative, should have gone for it more on 4th down, no receivers open most of the game and still made some things happen.

Maybe you're right, but I think it helps if you like Jimmy G the right amount.

I think we're in the Chiefs position with Alex Smith, you can win but you want more, for me you take a swing for the fence then.

If we desperately needed a replacement I'd be more inclined to try to hit a double.
What if our constant flirting has JG request a trade back to NE. We don't get Stafford or Watson and top QBs are gone?

What's our move then?

Last time I checked all the "flirting" is just media and fanbase stuff. FO and teammates have been saying they are sticking with Jimmy.
The only fact is he needs a paycut

Tom Brady was confirmed. Scouting Wilson and Jones were confirmed. I'm sure we will be in talks with DET & HOU as well

You dont move Jimmy until you have someone in the building to replace him. Period.

Thats what worries me the most.. i'm having horrible flashbacks of AS as a 9er era and the Cheifs Era.. possibly the Wash Football team era

But if he requests a trade. He's in no different position as Stafford and Watson.

So what you are saying is Josh Allen needs things to be perfect?

Hmmm! Interesting

Jimmy requesting a trade right now would be laughable. I still like the guy but come on...

Stafford, Watson and Rodgers have just a tad bit more leg to stand on with their demands.

A request back to NE I don't think is laughable. Once NE fills their spot and he knows we are moving on he's stuck without a starting job really

This, but if we got that feeling predraft I'd trade up for Zach Wilson (this is my preferred option anyway).

It would change my backup options though, maybe to draft Mac Jones, which otherwise is behind a small trade up for Fields or drafting of Lance.
