Trading for pick 2

Your probably right. But if they like Darnold...

the value Warner would bring Saleh while the defense is in its infant stages and the fact that they have huge cap space and are only paying Moseley 7 mil this year...

If they give up Warner for Darnold they should all be fired. Darnold isn't worth more than a 3rd round pick at this point.

You realize how many good players they might possibly get if they traded away all their good players for draft picks?

It's one thing to trade draft picks or players. Trading pro bowl players is a different story. Sure you could get a lot of picks for those guys but there's no way of knowing exactly who would be there when your turn came up and if those guys would become pro bowlers. Sometimes you have to trade those types because of the salary cap but otherwise it's silly to shed them for an unknown.
The only QB I would mortgage the future on is Trevor Lawrence, and there is no way we can swing that deal. I would stay away from the Ohio State QB. Stafford appears to be the best option and with Saleh in NJ maybe Darnold is available at the right price.

Not for Watson?

I'd give up 1sts for Watson, Lawrence, and Wilson. No more than a 2nd for Stafford/Ryan, maybe a 3rd for Darnold.

If we traded for Darnold I would throw up.. I won't even entertain that idea in my head...

Jimmy plus Mac Wilson or Lance, Top 3 Draft or Watson...

Anything else will be a depressing off season wait...
No. Getting rid of Warner is the dumbest idea I've heard all week.

I think Watson would go higher in price than Stafford like you say. The team does not need a "savior" I can't see breaking up something that is in place.
It's either trade some combo of Jimmy, Warner and pick 12 for pick 2...

Or hold Jimmy and Warner and take Mac or maybe Trey falls... But prob Mac...

I'm fine with either situation... But would prefer Justin or Zach...

Last thing I want is to mortgage the future for Watson... 2 1's, 2 2's and even one defensive player... No thanks

Jets could really surprise everyone and take D. Smith at #2. Would be wild!
I don't think jets will do what we did in 2017 and pass on a qb.
Hell no to trading Fred Warner. Saleh loves AA right? 12th, future 1st and AA. Or throw in Jimmy for a 3rd/4th coming back.
Just think if you were the Jets, would you do this trade?

Give up a chance for a franchise changing QB so you can have a great MLB and pick 12? Then trade Darnold with zero leverage and get nothing.

Zero chance.

Make no mistake, the cost of trading to #2 is pretty much what the Rams initially gave up for Goff.

15 to 1 is a bit higher than 12 to 2 so you can probably knock off a 2nd and/or a 3rd

2 1's, a 2nd and 2 3rd's gets it done for me, and I personally don't think it's worth it (as much as I love Wilson)

If they think he's worth it then go for it. Obviously he's not proven in the NFL but he's 12 years younger and we have comp picks coming.

2 1sts, a second and 2 3rds should be the max.
