Could be dirty if we got stafford and smith.

Only problem will be who is going to protect stafford.

Resign Williams and try to sign a vet like Alex Mack, then we good.

We have some really good centers. Rt is a major problem
He is going to either Miami or Philly.
He has the connection with Tua and Hurts.

Richburg is always hurt
Garland is average
The rest are mediocre
Do you remember how much impact Alex Mack had in Kyle offense back in Atlanta? Center is the pivot of the offense and I dare to say even more important than the RT position.
Umm you draft a starting LT, and Quentin Nelson - aka an obvious generational player - with a higher 1st rounder like we have. All other OL positions can wait until later rounds.

If this kid is available he absolutely would be and should be in the conversation. I could see us debating him or Surtain if we are to that lucky, but that's about it.

This, all of this and absolutely this.

Only thing I'd change is that in this era of matchup football a RT is fine to draft at #12 as well. Think we have to wait and work with McGlinchey though.

He should be WR #1, he's the best by far but is going to be off some (stupid) team's boards due to his weight, I hope we're not one of them.

That's great in all except there is no one close to Nelson's level in this draft. This draft isn't loaded with O-line.
Lynch and Company messed up when they choose Kinlaw over Wirfs. He would've been the generational player yet we went with Kinlaw.

I like your Surtain talk...that should be the pick if he's there IMHO

I disagree, this looks like a great O-Line class. I think the value in the 2nd & 3rd is far superior than at #12.

Sewell will be long gone, and I think Slater will be as well as long as teams are happy he can play Tackle in the league, and I get the point that he may not be worth #12 if they aren't.

Day 2 & 3 are loaded with prospects, inside and out, I hope we grab 2, a C/G & G/T, flexibility is key.

Needs are considered in two ways, of you're set with great young talent, you can take a position group of the board. We have 2 good young WR's, last I checked you can put more than that on the field.

Then you have huge team needs, like CB, they get bumped, but the player still needs to be in the same tier.

I don't think Surtain is as good a prospect as Devonta, but he's in the same tier, matched with our need, yeah pick him. However if we don't think Jaycee Horn is we shouldn't reach just because of our need.

If it gets that bad you trade back.
