He wishes he could release like Devonta, Devontae Adams is a better comp, obviously not as thick. Wins the same way though.

Smith isn't as fast but he's also a far more complete receiver. I see prime Antonio Brown without any of the issues above the shoulders going on.

Antonio Brown is a good shout actually

Could be dirty if we got stafford and smith.

Only problem will be who is going to protect stafford.

This guy gets it. Anyone who signs will play behind mcglincy and get shat on.

Where's all this money coming from? Are we using 2031 cap numbers?

Davante Adams had around 40 lbs on Devonta Smith coming out. Lol that's not a good comp at all.

I don't think Desean Jackson is bad acomp given how tiny Devante Smith is. I can't think of anyone else that small that had that type of success. Even Antonio Brown was a lot thicker.

I said obviously not as thick, the thing is that he plays much bigger than his size. Granted it'll be tougher in the league, but I can't see it holding him back due to how he releases with his feet, hence the Adams comp.
Not as thick is a serious understatement. 40 lbs is a massive difference.

Smith and Brown(at his peak) seem so similar to me in terms of their superior ability as technicians. Neither one is the biggest or the fastest but they run precision routes that leave most defensive backs looking silly. If you can consistently beat a CB right off the line with pure technique, you're going to be a serious playmaker.
For sure. I have no doubt he'll be good. My concern is about whether or not he'll hold up. The dude is TINY. Middlekauff said scouts were talking that he may not break 170 lbs right now.

He's closer in size to Trent Taylor than Davante Adams.

Don't have to worry about getting hurt if defenses can't touch you.

They all get smashed eventually.

Fair enough Hero, but what's the point of comparing guys based on size? You can just list his size.

Devonta is much closer as a WR to Adams than Desean Jackson
Well, size is one aspect of making comps. Comps make sense when multiple aspects of players align, and most draft evaluators start with the physicals. I could say Trent Taylor reminds me of Anquan Boldin because he's fearless over the middle because of that single aspect, but everyone knows that makes zero sense.

DeVonta Smith is a tough comp because there haven't been many successful WRs in NFL that are that small. Scouts fearing him weighing under 170 lbs?! I mean jeez. And you guys know I'm far from a size queen.

DeVonta is here merely to serve as a herald for the upcoming 170lb WR master race. A whole league filled with featherweight jitterbug receivers lighting up scoreboards from Seattle to New England, leading to a mass rage quit from overmatched DBs.
