Can someone lay out the likely compensation it will take to move from 12 to like 2, 4, 6, and 8?
Just want an idea of what the 49ers would be giving up to get one of the 3 QBs Wilson, Fields, and Lance.

So something like 12, 2021 2nd round pick, 2022 1st round pick, 2022 2nd round pick, and 2022 3rd round pick can get us to about the number 2 pick?

Pretty certain you'll get Lance at 12

Then they should do it in my opinion and sit him a year

I'm leaning towards this as the best option.
My head has been turned by Zach Wilson, but the benefit of Lance is that you know he'll be allowed to sit and develop, and won't cost you future high draft capital.
The upside is obvious.

Also, a move to 7 could be in the cards, won't cost as much, Lions get more picks for a true rebuild and draft capital to make a move if they need to for a QB in future drafts. They will be bad for a few years, so it won't cost them much to move up in future years or they might just be bad enough without trading.
We have had discussions with the Lions, hopefully this was also an idea floated around.

A move up to the Lions pick definitely makes sense. I think a lot of it will depend on if their guy is available at that pick. They must do whatever it takes to move ahead of the Panthers if they actually love a QB, IMO.
