Well he wasn't a shutdown corner at Alabama, so I don't know where they're getting that from.

Last I checked the NFL was harder.

I remember when "experts" said Justin Gilbert was the next Patrick Peterson.

Solid pro day!! Killed it. Check the film... it checks out no doubt. Has to be the pick IMO. Kid has a solid foundation to be a legit CB at the next level. Pops prepped him well.
If he's there at 12 you take him. I dont think he'll be there.
He really should go to Dallas, and they're welcome to him.

I think he's solid, and the athleticism looked better than I thought.

However if I'm picking a CB top 15 I either want him to take a WR away or take the ball away, and I don't see enough of either.

Unfortunately I see both out of Farley, but the back is probably no Bueno. I still would want my Doctor's to take a look.

Lol. So is it all Bama players you don't think highly of? The saltiness in this and the Mac nasty thread is palpable.

I disagree, I think having his pops DNA, plus how much they watch film together and study just tells me his head is already in the game. I think he will be a solid NFL CB.

IMHO I think he's ready to excel. I think he's the most fundamentally sound CB in this draft. His game tape solidifies it as does that pro day.

Not at all, Najee and Devonta Smith are in my top 5 prospects of the class, and I'm all for drafting Landon Dickerson regardless of his injury history.

My only issue with Bama (and it's really a compliment) is that I don't project them to get that mental jump in the league, as their coaching is so good. I still believe in an athletic jump.

I do like that they train against each other at high intensity. Iron sharpens iron.

I literally said he'll be solid, just that I want more from a top 15 pick. Solid is what I look for after my round 1 graded players.

If it wasn't for the back issues I'd draft Farley over him without hesitation.

the guy on the 49ers report sure seems to think so i havent had Time to check him out personally but if he or another guy there projects to be a shutdown corner i think we should go this route unless fields or wilson falls to us and of course trading for watson

He had a great college season, but when Kyle Trask isn't afraid to air it out to Treyvon Grimes against you, you aren't shutdown.

He just doesn't have the athletic profile to project as a shutdown corner in the NFL, and the lack of ball production doesn't shout top 15 player for me.

He's a nice, middle of the fairway CB2. If you think that's worth 12 then more power to you.

The guy who certainly projects as a shutdown corner is Caleb Farley, unfortunately he has had multiple back surgeries after a year of not playing.

JayCee Horn at least has the make-up of a potential shutdown, but he's a much riskier boom or bust type prospect.
My preferred draft was to stay out and take him at 12. Unfortunately neither happened.
