Edit with some info I have found:
PROS:
Elite size at 6'2 and length.
Appears to be a 4.3 speed guy with a 5th gear to catch up. Someone who can run with DK Metcalf
Initially was going to play wide receiver until he got hurt, and in 23 games he had 6 interceptions displaying playmaking skills.
PFF gave him a 90.5 coverage grade in 2019. He forced 10 incompletions while only allowing 9 first downs.
Seems to have good character from the few interviews I've watched.
CONS:
This is why he will drop.....
Torn ACL in 2017 and a back injury that required surgery in 2019. Just typing that out has him sliding a little in my book. Only has one season of dominant tape before sitting out last year for covid. He sat out for Covid because he didn't want to risk losing his father after losing his mother. He came to this realization after being in the practice facility with about 100 people huddled up without masks.
Small sample size with only one good season on tape coming from 2019
Not the strongest tackler, but had 56 tackles over 2 years. I doubt his back injury will help him improve at the next level.
Has shown he can be a high upside man coverage guy, but will need to improve in zone. Little tight in the hips but that is expected from someone of his height.
Overall
My opinion is he could have a Patrick Peterson ceiling and an Akhello Witherspoon floor. Upon initially starting this post, I was hyping this guy up for the 12th pick. After doing a little more research, my opinion of him has dropped a little due to injury concerns. He has eye popping traits and potential, but is more of a risk than a Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn. This guy has high risk and high reward written all over him. Right now, the best draft comp I have for him is Greedy Williams. He was projected as a 1st rounder by many and inevitably fell to the 2nd round.
