Did not see that coming. Especially this far in advance of the draft.

It's Fields or Lance then.
The #Eagles tried to trade up to No. 3, but they would only do it for Zach Wilson, source said. Instead, they back out, get an extra 1st rounder, and continue to build.

I'm so relieved. There were so many players we were rumored to take at 12 and I wasn't feeling any of them

No way we move to 3rd QB choice without having some inside info that we will get the guy we want.

If they have two QB's graded equally, does it matter ultimately? Whoever it is, I hope they guess right because this can either proper the franchise to long term success or act as an anchor to hold them down and potentially cost some people their jobs.

No matter what happens, this pick will be a QB. Watching Wilson throw darts all morning means he will likely end up #2 with the Jets, and that leaves the original presumptive #2 pick in Fields to the Niners. We get to see what Fields has next week on Wednesday at this Pro Day. Just love the aggressiveness of the trade, the timing, and the potential result. Niners will still have eight picks this year to fill whatever holes they have left. Phenomenal news.

I'm not much of a draft geek, but does anyone think we overpaid? This seems like a lot.

3 1st round and a 3rd is very typical for a big trade up. Plus if our qb is a true elite qb it doesn't matter what we gave up.
