Ya was just thinking out loud and looking at all options....I love Fred but man he'll be asking for 18-20MM a year.
So pay him and manipulate the cap like everyone else does. If Arik Armstead's bum ass got paid, you pay Fred Warner.

He will be cheap for a time, but if he's as good as we hope it'd be something like a 10 year 400 million contract on the horizon...just a few years away.

So do we take the Pats offer now for Jimmy G that our cards are on the table? We're not drafting anything other than QB going this high

I'm blown away with the aggressiveness in Lynch and Shanny today. This move was for Zach Wilson and no one can change my mind. You don't sell the farm for Mac Jones, and I'm one of his biggest supporters on here. This move is to get a guy you believe can be a top 5 QB and the face of your franchise for the next decade plus.

Only if it's a 1st. You want the rookie to learn. We can still try to win it all this year, and then have the rookie to take over when he's ready.
Steve Young explains why the 49ers would be comfortable with either Justin Fields or Zach Wilson at the No. 3 pickhttps://t.co/fTb06x4mYn pic.twitter.com/NkZaqv06g7

No no no no fing way.
No. I refuse to believe. This is a joke. Is it April 1? Someone pinch me.

Given the Eagles willingness to trade the #6 to Miami, 49ers probably would have been better served trading up to 6 and holding on to one more of those first rounders that they gave up for the 3 slot. I think both guys available at 3, likely Fields and Lance, won't be great fits. Mac Jones would be a good fit, an upgrade on Jimmy G., and playing on a rookie deal, but he could probably be had at the 6 spot that Miami just snagged from Philly.
