Wilson
Fields
Lance
Jones
I think Lawrence and Wilson go 1 and 2. So even though I put Wilson at the top, I'm not really considering him for the 9ers.
So given that, I'm team Fields

After today, I'm all in on Fields. Wilson would be cool too though.

But that throwing motion. Cam Newton-like. I just don't see it happening in a tight pocket, which is most throws in the NFL.

I don't think Fields typically pats the ball from what I've watched. Usually the ball Pat and the eyes give away where the QB is going with the ball.
I don't see that often with Fields. Hopefully that buys him a fraction of reaction time to make for his release everyone is talking about

He does but who cares? It's pretty rare for a QB not to pat the ball. It's inconsequential if a QB isn't staring down reads and throwing on time.

Have any of you changed your rankings since you started looking into these guys? Or are you starting to dig in more on who you like?
I like Jones a lot more as time goes on. He used to not even be on the radar for me, because nothing really jumps off the screen with him. But the more I have watched, he is very polished as a pocket passer who goes thru his reads quickly and gets the ball to his playmakers.
He definitely lacks that WOW factor, but so did Brady... not trying to compare him to Brady btw. But yeah, he has climbed the ranks for me.
Ultimately I am hoping for Wilson though. He has that wow factor. Like a mix of Mahomes/Rodgers.
A poor man's Mahomes is still better than no Mahomes imitator.

I'm wondering how personality plays into this thing with Shanahan. Who does he think he can mesh with and get along with the next ten years
Which QB is gonna be open and amicable with him?

Great point
Feel like Shanahan is hard on QB's.

I'm throwing the dice and picking Lance....the guy just is special. He can escape the rush better than anyone not named Wilson and he can make ALL of the throws. According to the ND State announcer, he is a "great kid", hard worker, goes through his progressions, and will work his a** off.
I know he doesn't have much experience but then, neither does Jones. It is a somewhat risky pick but the upside of Lance is off of the charts. Trey Lance is my pick.
Cheers!

We are thinking about this all wrong.
What is our record with JG?
What is our record without him?
What if we had two of them? One gets hurt and we replace him with his twin? What happens to our record? No dip.
We drafting Jones.

2 mid-tier QB´s that need all the help in the world to succeed. No thanks.
