The Fatal Fourway: Wilson, Lance, Fields, and Jones; Enter and declare your allegiance!

I know this has been posted before but again I want people to tell me how you can read this and still think we would trade 3 firsts for Mac Jones.

It screams Justin Fields. But could even be Wilson or Lance.

"You start to see you can win football games with any type of quarterback as long as they are good enough and you can be good enough in hundreds of different ways. So, I evaluate quarterbacks in terms of trying to find people who can have a chance to be one of those elite-type guys and there's lots of different ways to do it… I don't think you have one certain thing you're looking for. You're just trying to find a guy who is better than about 98-percent of the people on this planet or in this country and when you find that, you get him and you adjust to him"

The whole logic for Jones is Shannahan is stubborn in wanting a guy that fits his system even if he's a lesser talent.

Like I've said all along. This trade and everything they have said speaks of an attempt to get a potential top 5 NFL quarterback. Not just another guy who can fit his scheme as is.

Kyle is stubborn as f**k, and thinks he can win without changing. He is insane..doing same thing over and over and expecting different results.

What if Kyle actually believes in Jimmy's ability to win a SB and simply wants no drop-off in terms of how similar the backup can emulate Jimmy in case Jimmy gets hurt?

I mean, technically, a healthy Jimmy IS a franchise QB.
Latest evidence against Jones: Shanahan nor Lynch have spoken to Saban about his quarterback=Fields or Lance.
Shanahan's connection to Fields when in high school=Fields.

to build on that. The guy who was with Kyle at the QB Collective said Kyle was gushing over Fields and couldn't stop talking about how he's gonna be a top QB in the NFL one day. Then when Kyles asked about working with Fields he acts like it was no big deal.

He thinks Jones is an elite processor like a Peyton Manning. And probably got blown away by him in individual interviews.

It's very easy for him to just come up with anything to justify this.

Nah, if anyone thought he would be the next Peyton Manning or anything close to it 1) he wouldve started over Tua in college and 2) he would be the consensus #1 pick in this draft.

I can't call Jimmy a franchise QB. Love the kid, but he's played one full season and it ended with him choking in the most important game of his life lol

I wouldn't call it choking. He missed a big throw. Some could say he was rusty because we didn't use him for the previous two games.

I call that choking and your latter point - that's where we fairly question Kyle yet again.

To a shot to the head earlier in the half that could have had an effect.

Missing one pass to win the SB is not choking.
