Crazy, but what if the 3rd pick isn't a qb after all?

Something doesn't seem right here, unless they know what the jets are doing with their pick. Because after the first 2 Qbs off the board, I dont feel like there are any others who justify the cost of our 2 future 1sts...it only makes sense if they know jets don't take Qb OR.....it's not a Qb they're picking.

What if they see someone like Pitts, Chase or someone else as a once in a generation talent to add with kittle, deebo etc...we could have a crazy good offense (if we could figure out Qb situation of course). Sounds far fetched at first, but I don't know...this move up kinda feels too obvious for us to draft someone who isn't VERY special. And I have a hard time believing that lynch/shanahan would show their cards this early. Maybe we dont know what they're doing after all. I kinda like the mystery though, it'll be a fun draft for sure! Anyways I haven't posted in here in forever but this life changing trade got me thinking. Also I'm hoping we don't F things up lol 😂

There's a chance it's not a QB, just not a very high chance.

I think that chance comes from something happening between now and then. Maybe we moved up because we liked Fields and WIlson, but then two weeks from now Wilson gets arrested for asking an undercover cop to stick her thumb in his ass or something. In that case the JETs take Fields and we don't like the other QBs enough to take them then we go with Pitts because we also can't trade back. I guess there is also some chance that we just wanted in the top 5 to get Pitts or Sewell and 3 was the one we were able to get, so we did. All those things together I would give, generously, a 2% chance. So a 98% chance they draft a QB.

Honestly, Lynch tipped his hand here when he said they'd listen to trade offers on Jimmy.

I know it sounds crazy, probably is a qb...maybe there's a trade up for Wilson because that would make sense. It's just so much to give up for anyone else.

I don't get why people don't get this. I can maybe see giving up next years first to move up 15+ spots in a draft to get something else but not two firsts and a third to move up 9 spots.
