The angry draft rant thread 😡😡

There is no way they should take Mac Jones or any position player at #3 and there is no way they should take an injury risk like Landon Dickerson to protect whomever else they choose at QB. That's as far as my hate goes for now.
Actually listened to the full interview and he most certainly doesn't say his ultimate QB is Kirk lol...he has a lot or respect for him and everyone always ties him to Kyle because people knew he interested in getting him in FA.

he makes it sound like It a very exaggerated thing.

Honestly I think cousins is a lot better than he is given credit for around the nfl community. I'm gonna raise some eyebrows but I think if we acquired him instead of Jimmy we would've won that superbowl and he would've had a borderline mvp year just cause of Kyle's offensive prowess alone.

Everything is cool with Cousins until you see how much he is getting paid. Last year he had 35 TD which was great, the Vikings defense was an abomination

Lol hopefully he lets that dream die soon.

peakcock broke it down a little better than I did.
Isn't this what every thread turns into? Lol
Belichick after we wouldn't trade Jimmy back to him and then also traded up to 3rd overall

I can see him pushing hard to trade Jimmy or move up to grab Mac.
I'm not angry but irritated at some of these so-called analysts, some of whom write for the Zone and others for Niner Noise & Niner Nation. Some of them take the approach that they know everything the Niners will or should do. That's a very slippery slope and one that often makes them look foolish. As for what QB we'll take, I seriously doubt it'll be Jones or Fields. There are reasons a lot of QB's from some of the best college teams don't succeed in the NFL. It's largely due to the fact they're playing behind the best OL's and have the best WR's, TE's and RB's in the country. In particular, Jones played behind a stellar OL and had arguably the best receiving corps in the country. He seldom had to scramble, ad-lib, etc. All that changes in the NFL. For Fields, he did struggle against teams that put pressure on him. He used his legs to avoid some trouble, but again, once you're in the NFL you'd better have the patience and intelligence to not only avoid trouble, but still makes plays and not turn the ball over despite it. All of these are reasons I truly believe Lance would be the best choice for Shanahan to make. He's got it all..size, mobility, smarts and moxy. In a number of ways, he reminds me of Kap when he was at his best. I think he's got a very high football IQ, a very important factor playing in Coach's offense. I think he's got the highest ceiling after Lawrence & Wilson. Just my two cents.

Lawrence plays with ridiculous talent, too.. and also plays in a much weaker conference than Fields or Jones.

Wilson had one of the best lines in the country.
This press conference did not really alleviate my concerns at all. I am still thinking they will pick Mac.

But happy that they're at least doing their due diligence by trying to schedule a second pro day for Lance and Fields.

You bash Jones and Fields for the talent around them, Fields for running too much and then act like Lance wasn't playing for by far the most dominant FCS program in the country. A team that has won 6 of the past 7 national championships. They were winning big with Easton Stick at quarterback. Lance also by far had the fewest number of passing attempts of any top QB prospect in this draft class. The least amount of pressure to get things done with his arm.

That press conference didn't lead me to think Jones was the pick.

So you're saying Kyle did a good job not revealing his plan?
