Would you be happy if they lost every game, and got the first pick? How about they go 0-17 to make you happy this upcoming season.

One of the 3-5 qb's would have fallen in their lap. They would not have had to trade a 3rd and two future ones.

This is only my opinion. But the Niners LOST big by winning a scrub game.
Totally agree with the OP. None of us want the Niners to lose in general but if there's a lost season with no hope for Playoffs then I'd rather lose and get a better pick. The part that goes misunderstood with that thinking is that you're rooting for losses this year to hopefully help us win next year and beyond. Ultimately, you're rooting for the team to win....just not in a lost year. The only exception for me would be if you're a ticket holder and are in person.

And no, the players and coaches would never play to lose, nor should they.
Champions play like champions before they are chanpions.

This. Like sheesh, if you are below .500 after week 6, should a team just lose out?

There is talent all over the draft. Even in 2017. We missed out on Myles Garrett. But could've had Mahommes, Watson, McCaffrey, even TJ Watt. Watt would've been a massive overdraft at the time, but in a re draft, could go top 5-10.

Draft the available talent wherever you are and you will have sustained winning.

Yes, in reality, if Shanahan and Lynch take Jones then it's the end of our run IMHO. That win cost us a lot..
