This is the second year in a row that the team has shown interest in one of the premier backs in the draft. How much compensation would you be willing to give up for a true star RB prospect?
I'd trade up into the 20-24 range if he is available. My dream scenario is trading Jimmy G to the Patriots and swapping our 2nd with their 1st (15th). That would open a lot of options with our second pick. We could move back a few spots and take Harris in the 20-24 range. Or they could use 15 on OL/CB/WR/EDGE.

The weapon this guy could be in Shanahan's offense! I'd trade into the latter part of the 1st for him as he's such a playmaking RB. Will he still be there or will he go sooner - don't know.

I mean if Kyle reeeeally wants him, they should just trade up for him the way they did for Aiyuk. I'm not familiar with how great of a wide zoner runner Najee is just based on casually watching Bama games, but man, I do know he a great receiver, blocker and a killer after the catch because those parts of his game just jump out.
That said, drafting a RB with so many pressing needs at more impactful positions doesn't seem like a wise use of resources, especially given Kyle and this system's track record of success with later guys. I sure as hell ain't complaining if they draft him, tho.

I went 3rd or later. We had the number 2 running game with UDFAs and a free agent. Spending a high pick on a RB seems like a waste that we can't afford with holes still at CB, Edge, OG, TE2, WR3 and WR4
just read what hero said so yeah what he said

We would probably have to jump the Jets or Steelers, not sure it's worth paying that price after what we've already gave up for pick 3.

I'm not a big fan of drafting running backs earlier than the 2nd round, but I felt that Najee is special. He can literally do it all.

We need CBs.
Love Harris though.

I wouldn't draft him...great talent, no doubt, but we already have two terrific RB's in Mostert & Wilson. Hasty showed he's got skills, too. They need their 9 picks for other positions, IMHO. Sign another UDFA...it's been a very legitimate method of getting good RB's without using picks to do so.

I'd rather select Felton down the draft board a bit because he can be our full-time kick and punt returner and play some slot WR.
There's plenty of good RB prospects to not have to worry about missing out on Harris.
But I also think we would benefit greatly by having another Jeff Wilson-type power back. Trey Sermon maybe.

This. Much prefer using that 2nd on a CB. Can't be mad if we got Harris though

That's a good point, but what Harris brings is a mismatch in the passing game.

I just want a RB that can touch the rock 18-20 times per game without getting injured

He's one of the best RBs to come out in a while and I think he'll be a franchise cornerstone for several years. He's one of the rare RBs worthy of a 1st round pick, IMO.
That said, I'll rather trade up from the 3rd and take Sermon. Hell, he may even be there in the 3rd for us.

Najee is a stud, and I have him as a top 5 prospect in this draft, I'm not sure we can justify trading up again though, if for a ridiculous reason he's there at #43 I don't see how you pass.
I feel sorry for him, I think he would go at #4 to the Falcons as recently as 4 years ago. I think these 2nd contract RB's are putting teams off.
I think he makes it to the 20's.
