Harris would solve that problem.

The whole package is there. The same way Shanahan loves having receivers that can do it all, having a RB that you can utilize on all three downs, a guy that can you can use as a receiver out of the backfield, a power back on the goal line, a dependable pass blocker, all of that makes Harris so intriguing.

I think the Jerick McKinnon injuries killed it
He's a little Trent Richardson-y to me in that he's big, strong, and lacks speed. I don't have a good sense for his vision/playmaking in that offense with how great the o-line is. I'd pass on him in the 2nd round, but I do think RB is a need

Ive heard AZ likes him at 16. Miami, 18, Jets at 23, Pittsburg 24.

We would need him to fall to 19, but to trade to 19-22? What would that cost besides our 2nd rounder?

A starter worth a 2nd round pick.

Yup, but people make a good point that 9 players drafted aren't making this team. We could easily ditch 2-3 more picks with that in mind, but they would all have to be high to snag Najee. If they did that, we would really have to keep hitting on mid round picks the next few years.
I hope they hold onto the picks. Should be able to land RB help on day 3. I like Mosely and Verrett, but more is needed at corner. Of course O-line. Clearly they want a legit number 2 TE. I can't see them trading up for Harris.

I think if he somehow makes it past Pittsburg it becomes a real possibility.
This is now my draft worry...Niners trade a lot of capital to get Najee

How about we wait till the 5th and take Khalil Herbert
This team needs a cb badly, I'm taking a guy like Samuel jr before Harris whose a luxury at this point.
every year we prioritize players that make a living in the trenches (DL) early in the draft. I would not be at all upset this year if we somehow landed Fields in the first & Harris in the 2nd. We can go back to drafting lineman early every other year

Hmm, there really isn't a lot of similarities between their games, imo. Trent was way undersized for his weight and you could see that the lack of speed would be an issue in the NFL. Harris is massive with that strength and speed combo, not to mention how agile he is. I see more of a Steven Jackson or maybe a Laveon Bell than I do a Trent Richardson.
