I agree
Fields or Lance.

I refuse to believe it's Jones until it actually happens. And if I can trust ShannyLynch (so far, so good) I will trust them to do what they've regretted NOT doing over the past three years … draft a potential stud at QB.
The pick is Fields.

I'm 90% confident it's Fields and 10% on Lance. Maybe even 95/5.

Why Fields?
Fields was the #2 QB in this class coming into the year. If you think about who Kyle was referring to as the 3 QBs they liked, it's not hard to imagine it's Lawrence, Fields, and Wilson. Slight chance the third guy is Lance instead of Wilson. They knew this before the trade and knew they would get one of the three, and with the rise of Wilson in the last 6-7 months, it suddenly looked like Fields would be available at #3 overall, which would be a coup in their eyes. The only thing that derails their plan to take Fields is if the Jets take Fields, which leads us to...

Why is there a Mac Jones smokescreen?
Because the 49ers don't want the Jets to know who they covet. The Jets coaching staff are 49er protégés, especially the new OC. They will look to their mentors to see who they should pick. It's natural. And the Jets GM is going to want a QB who fits the new offensive system, and who would know that better than the Shanahans themselves? So the 49ers need to smokescreen with a guy they would not pick in Mac Jones - note he is not one of the "3 QBs" - to not give any signal to the Jets and maximize the chance the guy they really want is still there at pick #3.

You've just been simultaneously blocked on Twitter by Matt Miller, Ben Allbright, Mike Silver and Mike Lombardi.

Given how secretive everything has been, fields is a great bet.

I won't lose any sleep. Better ideas in here from fellow fans even if we vehemently disagree. It really is 99% click bait.
