Fields, Lance, Jones: List YOUR order, and what Niners will actually do

I truly believe if the Niners hadn't traded for Jimmy G, they would have taken Mahomes instead of Soloman Thomas and there would be TWO Lombardi's in the trophy case, at least. Looking back on the last QB draft by the Franchise, Alex Smith was chosen, I believe, because he showed smarts (he graduated in 3 1/2 years) and his coach (whoever he was). in SF, the coaching staff which was in place and the ensuing staff (there was a revolving door of OC's), weren't worth a damn to the young man. The only time he made any strides was when Norv Turner was his OC. And, Mike Singletary wasn't worth a crap to him either (the guy was hurt and Singletary called him a "malingerer"). Now, with three or more men to choose from, there is going to have to be patience, teaching, and learning. But, there is also going to have to be health, an OLine built to protect him and receivers who can get open. So, having rambled on about little that had to do with the question, it is still a crapshoot (the draft) and what it is going to take is someone who can run this offense

They traded for Jimmy after the 2017 draft. Kyle
Was looking to sign Cousins in the 2018 offseason.

Beautiful. I was never buying the Mac buzz. It just didn't make sense for us to trade so high for him. That rumor grew legs when we went to his Pro Day over Fields', even though Fields was going to have another.
Plus, Mac not working with Beck was a huge red flag. It was between Lance and Fields from the beginning.
