Still sticking with Lance. The conspiracy theory I have heard is the 49ers and Jets colluding where NYJ takes Fields and we get Wilson. But that seems a little out there to me. Like, really? If Saleh knew Shanahan loved Wilson, why wouldn't he just take him for himself? Makes no sense. The more plausible "conspiracy" is that the Niners leaked the Jones/Lance stuff to draw attention away from someone who isn't those two -- such as Wilson or Fields.

Or the reports are true that the 49ers prefer Lance/Jones. We just don't know which one.

I think the Jets take Fields. Saleh isn't a risk taker and likes a guy who did it against the best competition and on the biggest stage. He's the Watson of this draft.
As much as I want Pitts, if the Jets take Fields then we're going with Wilson.

Although I would love to imagine a dynamic QB in Kyle's offense leading our team, I know that 2 of the top 5 QBs will be successful in the NFL.
The first QB will be the one we take because of the support system we have for QB success.
The second QB will be the one that drops in the first round and will be snatched up by another possible playoff team with a good support system.
Also, Kellen Mond is a possible 3rd one that will definitely be successful because he will be drafted and placed in a good support system.

Just because Shanahan loves a QB doesn't mean Douglas, Saleh, and Lafleur love him.

I was all in on Fields until Bridgewater was traded for a 6th. Would have made sense to trade Jimmy and let Bridgewater mentor Fields. Couple that with the Sudfeld signing has me thinking Jones. Today I am more confused then ever.
