2022 General Prospect Discussion and Watch List

Possible selections with our first pick:

OT:
Trevor Penning, UNI: May have played himself into the first round and out of our range.

OG:
Zion Johnson, BC
Lecitus Smith, VT

Lecitus I think is a realistic option with our 2nd or 3rd round pick. One of my favorite players in the class regardless of position. If Jaylon Moore can further develop like he showed in last week's game in place of Trent Williams, I'd hope we can slot him in at LG and Lecitus at RG.

👀

My biggest crushes are in the secondary, Coby Bryant from Cincinnati and both of Verone McKinley from Oregon and Demani Richardson from Texas A&M

I love this CB class, seems littered with depth so hopefully we can have a repeat and get a few except you know, select good ones staring us in the face like Asante Samuel Jr

David Bell WR Purdue putting on a show today, he is having a really good year. 1st a possibility but he should go 2nd

Kenyon Green G Texas A&M impressing in run and pass blocking, could be a 1st rounder now

I'd guess Green is the second IOL off the board
Really curious to see how Jahan Dotson tests
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a slot receiver out of Ohio State. Only a true sophomore, but he's basically Wes Welker on steroids. Incredible hands... he doesn't catch the ball, he snatches it. Great route runner, but even better, he understands route concepts. He's got great wiggle and lower body strength, not that fast though... maybe a mid 4.5 guy, might test faster. He won't be a first rounder, but he's going to be a damn good NFL receiver.

The second video is one if the better catches I've ever seen.

Corner, edge, and IOL look rediculously strong and deep this year. I swear, if the niners roster has the same holes next year...

Getting a Quentin Nelson vibe from Green, not as fast. David Bell was getting Jerry Rice comps before the game
Alabama has taken a huge step back, shout out to how good Mac was, but Will Anderson is your top overall pick next year.
Niners need a new strong safety to replace the oft injured Tartt. Here is a list of candidates for them in the second round:

Brandon Joseph Northwestern
Jalen Catalon Arkansas
Jordan Battle Alabama
Jaquan Brisker Penn State
Lewis Cine Georgia

Two later round options at OG:

Ben Brown Ole Miss
Emil Ekiyor Jr. Alabama

Brown is more versatile as he has played all 3 OL positions, but Ekiyor might be a good option late to replace Tomlinson if he walks in free agency.
