Any guard/tackle prospects in this draft?

Possible selections with our first pick:

OT:
Trevor Penning, UNI: May have played himself into the first round and out of our range.

OG:
Zion Johnson, BC
Lecitus Smith, VT

Lecitus I think is a realistic option with our 2nd or 3rd round pick. One of my favorite players in the class regardless of position. If Jaylon Moore can further develop like he showed in last week's game in place of Trent Williams, I'd hope we can slot him in at LG and Lecitus at RG.

Two later round options at OG:

Ben Brown Ole Miss
Emil Ekiyor Jr. Alabama

Brown is more versatile as he has played all 3 OL positions, but Ekiyor might be a good option late to replace Tomlinson if he walks in free agency.

Ben Brown OG Mississippi seems like a good fit, versatile with experience all along the line

Dohnovan West OG Arizona State is a guy I am taking a longer look at

I really like Dohnovan West. John Michael Schmitz as well
So I think we really need to find our Tyreek Hill. We need someone who can stretch the field for the YAC brothers to catch balls in the middle of the field where they are most dangerous. Looking at free agents, doesnt look like there are any reliable speedsters. TY Hilton and Will Fuller seem to be the only real options, and they have been hurt of the year which is what we are trying to get away from. Any draft prospects who can fall to us in the 2nd and 3rd, or even sleepers later on? I remember this guy Zay Flowers from BC. Was really impressed with him last year. Good hands and route running to go along with his speed. Doesnt look like he is having a great year though, which may make him a bargain. Thought on all of this?

Flowers QB was hurt for a good part of the year. He's not quite Hill in terms of explosiveness (no one is) but he is better than his stats this year suggest. Jahan Dotson is someone who can be used in the Tyreek role; he reminds me of Brandin Cooks a bit. What's interesting is I remember, prior to the combine, there was questions about Cooks speed. I see some questioning Dotson's speed, but he regularly pulls away from defenders in coverage and tacklers in pursuit. He has surer hands and a larger catch radius then Cooks did in college. He might be there in the second, tho he is trending towards first round. I have him as WR5 (Burks, Olave, Wilson, Bell).

As for others, I don't watch much Alabama, but I hear Jameson Williams is explosive with deep speed. Calvin Austin III is another prospect I like in the mold of just being as fast and explosive as possible.

Other good WRs at various draft projections:
Romeo Doubs, Nevada
Tyrone Tracy, Iowa
Jaylen Hall, Western Michigan
Jequez Ezzard, Sam Houston State
Reggie Roberson Jr, SMU
Calvin Turner Jr, Hawaii
Erik Ezukanma, Texas Tech
Khalil Shakir, Boise State

Personally, for me, while I agree we really need a deep threat to round out the WR corps and I was really wishing we'd draft one last year as well, I don't think we have the draft capital to prioritize WR over IOL, CB, and EDGE, especially in a draft class with SO MUCH TALENT at those specific positions. Looking to FA, there is no Hill type player (assuming Cooks remains in Texas) but I'm hoping we sign Michael Gallup, leaving the draft for other holes.

Wow, king of the one handed grabs today

Other than Jahan Dotson, I don't see many small burner types in this year's WR draft class. There were a bunch in the last draft class, but not this one. Missed opportunity IMO. The sleepers who fit this profile will become more apparent the closer we get to the spring.

Calvin Austin III out of Memphis might be as close as it gets. 5'9" (school measurement) but is a 10.5 100m 4.3 40yrd guy with >1000 scrimmage yards this year and last, explosive in and out of breaks and good vision in the open field used in the return game.

As an aside, Michigan PSU is the game to be watching this morning.

Welp, Dane Brugler saying Trevor Penning is a top 8 prospect and potentially a top 10 pick...so much for that haha. I fell in love with his team Spencer Brown last cycle, and couldn't help but notice Penning when watching Brown. After watching Brown train with Joe Staley leading up to the draft, body slam a folding table after being drafted by Buffalo, and then having a successful rookie season thus far, it made me have even higher hopes for his teammate Penning. Now, McGlincheys replacement will wait an extra year, which is fine because we aren't able to move off his contract anyway. Would have been nice to have Penning waiting behind him ready to go, tho.
All this talk about WR.. Justyn Ross in a boot and on crutches. Looks like he will be the 49ers target.
Jahan Dotson has been absolute DOG this year. What will hurt him in the draft is his size... he's only 5'11" but he plays like he's 6'3".

Catch radius and hands are borderline elite for his size.

Definitely are, but usually it's the guys with elite triangle numbers (40, size, vert) who seem to get the most attention come draft time. Him, Wilson and Olave are the best three in the Big 10 and are arguably the best in the country. I think Wilson edges them out with his YAC and explosiveness, Olave is the best route runner and most consistent, Dotson is the most physical and the strongest hands. It'll be fun to see where they land in the draft.
Eight minutes to go until halftime, Garret Wilson has a carry for a 57 yard touchdown, and 7 catches for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Ohio State winning 42-14

Not even fair.

McKinley just got his 5th pick on the season
Was at the ASU vs Washington game last night and watched the Sun Devils rush for 286 yards against the overmatched Husky defense. Rachaad White went for 237 total yds (184 rushing and 53 receiving) and Dohnovan West played amazing at Center. Apparently West can play all three interior offensive line positions and has the athleticism to play in Shanny's wide zone offense. Knowing the Niners, they will draft another RB next year and White can play all three downs.

Zion Tupuola-Fetui also played and made a couple of nice plays coming back from injuries for UW. He may be a good early 3rd day pick at Edge rusher.
