2022 General Prospect Discussion and Watch List

Yep. We were bound to take a big step back after the run we had been on at receiver, 4 1st rounders in the last two drafts. That along with not having a top 3 round running back and losing Sarkisian meant our offense was going to take a step back no matter how good Bryce was. It still makes me appreciate how good our offense and Mac Jones was last year.
But hot dang, I haven't seen a Bama defense this soft in a while. The whole defensive front including Will Anderson were atrocious last night. Couldn't get off blocks at all.
props to A and M, I know they had dropped two in a row but they have some solid individual talent and that qb played his butt off. Windemeyer, Spiller, and Leal will all play on Sundays.
Is Zach Calzada a red shirt Sophomore? I think he has chance to be a good career back up but showed some good poise.

Would be a very safe bet to solve either RG or RT, but is likely a 1st round pick at this point. Plus, mcglincheys contract
I see my guy Jermaine Waller starting to get some spot light. My guy Can Taylor-Britt is next.
Kentucky WR Wan'Dale Robinson
Mostly a running back by trade at Nebraska, Robinson has been transformed into a Randall Cobb-ish role with the Wildcats — and it has been a resounding success. His production has simmered the past few games, but he remains a valued piece of the offense that opponents have tried to take away weekly.
Robinson looks like a starting slot receiver in the NFL with great yards-after-the-catch ability who can also be used as a runner and punt returner.

Penn State S Jaquan Brisker
Brisker has become the Nittany Lions' coach on the field in a lot of ways and a do-it-all safety with mass appeal. He checks off the boxes for size and athleticism, but his instincts separate him from the pack.
He has always been known as a big hitter, but Brisker also has come down with more big plays this season. He silenced Wisconsin with a game-sealing INT late near the goal line and had another pick last week that set up a TD at Iowa.
Brisker came into the season earning mid-round grades but now looks like a top-50 candidate.

Man, I remember that NC State defensive line years ago... Manny Lawson, Mario Williams, John McCargo and Tank Tyler. 3 first rounders and a 2nd rounder.

This guy caught my eye

It's early for full on breakdowns or threads dedicated to individual players. Use this thread to discuss what you're watching and who's catching your eye each week. Draft class looks deep at CB and OC, which is great news for us.

Tonight I'm watching Derrick Deese Jr (TE, SJSU) and man I want him to be a niner badly. Also have DE Cade Hall on my current mock draft.

My boy Deese Jr getting some love from the senior bowl today
Any guard/tackle prospects in this draft?
I wish my guy Davonte Lee RB from Nevada would get more involved in that offense. Built like a bowling ball at 5'9" 235lbs with insane leaping ability. 4.6 40. Been following him since high school . Has translates to college well, could be the scheme. Could make a good short yardage power back in the pros

Rremind of Miyan Williams from Ohio State... 5'8" 230.. has some serious juice to him.

I was disappointed in Ohio State's offensive line tonight, they got their asses kicked all night long... losing 1v1 battles consistently.

Treyveon Henderson is supposed to be the next big thing at running back, but I wasnt too impressed. His agility and bounce are impressive at the second level, but he has zero power and leg drive. He's only a freshman, but a lot of OSU fans were saying he might be the best they've ever had.... he has a long way to go.

Garrett Wilson had a good battle with Joey Porter Jr... both high first picks... both highly competitive... Porter Jr has the longest arms I've ever seen on a defensive back.

Zach Harrison is considered a first round defensive end but he's highly overrated. He looks the part... 6'6" 270, lean and long... but he plays high, has zero bend and isn't explosive. Reminds me of Corey Wootten out of Northwestern some years ago.

A true sleeper is a linebacker from Ohio State, Steele Chambers. He played running back up until this year, but he has incredible instincts and a nose for the ball. He could be a real sleeper in the late rounds.
Man QB Caleb Williams is a f**kin baller! Not only did he keep preseason #1 overall pick Spencer Rattler to the bench, but if he continues playing like he has been I think he got a shot at the Heisman as a Freshman.
