Draft the Jets

Probably earl Thomas or even as far back as sean taylor. Is he a guaranteed star? No but no draft pick in history Is.

He's the best player in the draft IMO. 1, because he's really good and would be a top prospect in any draft & 2, because this draft is very underwhelming at the top

Yeah its a bad year to be a bad team in terms of the draft. Especially if you need a QB. Luckily there is one available in SF for a trade

Yup teams look at future drafts and SF was like there ain't s**t next yr at QB. Lance would be the #1 pick in the draft this yr no question about it. Great off season to move Jimmy too.

Why would SF want that? Who's better at 10 overall than Bosa? This draft stinks at the top...both EDGE guys aren't close to Bosa and the best player in this draft is probably a safety Bosa would hands down be the #1 pick in this draft. If Lance was in this draft, he's the #1 overall pick just as easily.

Just because it's a high pick doesn't mean guys are better or gonna be better....There's a couple decent lineman and some okay EDGE guys at the top, draft is weak at the top. You can find some fine players on day 2 of the draft that can get the job done just as well in this draft.

I am just saying - Jets may make a grandfather offer for Bosa bc they have so many picks. It could be 4th overall and both their 2nd round picks. Just throwing a random offer out there.

You're right on every word about this draft and Bosa but IF IF IF - Niners feel that Bosa will command the biggest contract given to a defense player (that seems a possibility to me) and IF - they don't feel comfortable giving him that money due to his injury history...IF IF IF...then and only then maybe you consider it.

Not saying they should do it. They traded Buckner for a 1st...I can see them consider all options if the belief is a player is going to ask for one of the richest contract in NFL history for a non-QB.

It was just a thought that an offer from Jets may happen (and it could be for some other player) - not that Niners should do it.

What is a grandfather offer? I don't feel such expression exists. You are likely referring to Godfather offer. In the movie the Godfather there was a famous quote "I made him an offer he couldn't refuse". Of course, he couldn't refuse the offer cuz he had a gun to his head. Spoiler alert.

They can make an offer. Lynch can laugh and hang up the phone. At this point, I wouldn't trade Bosa for 3 first rounders, let alone just one.

Yeah Bosa for one first would be like the Buckner trade on roids and way worse. May risk a fan revolt.

This.
Common sese dictates it will be the best DE on the board at the time of the pick. While I love the safety out of ND I have yet to see a safety taken top 5.

Too Bad no QB's to get a small trade down to aquire more draft capitol.

Idk about rejecting 3 1st rd picks but fine...forget Bosa. I brought him up bc he's the most likely player Jets may be interested in trading for & throwing a kitchen sink at it.

I am just saying - Niners may be open to consider trading someone (on top of Jimmy) to recoup draft capital and avoid paying huge contracts.

This being the Jets draft thread - I do think they may be interested in trading for one of our top players bc of their draft capital and Saleh connection. Whether Niners should do it or not - is another question. Everyone is tradeable for the right price.

The only safety drafted that high that I can think of was this cat. R.I.P. Sean. Even Derwin James as freakishly athletic as he is fell to 17th.

There is just a good chance Lance loses a lot of shine with more exposure and falls way down the board as there is he would be the #1 pick.

Or there's a better chance he continues to plays well in the "s**tty FCS" and becomes the #1 pick in the draft where there aren't guys like Lawrence and Fields who have been talked about as generational prospects since HC.

Your hate for Lance is growing and it's funny....you want him to stink so badly so yo can gloat on a 49er fan forum, how stupid is that

Jetc would have to offer me their entire draft for three years. Bosa isn't just some edge rusher.

Maybe Jets would but there isn't anyone I'd offer short of McGlinchey. And I doubt they'd trade for him now. Maybe Wilson of he was under contract? But I want all hands on deck for 2022.

I forgot. Id work out a trade where the Jets are essentially giving us cap relief. We'd have to send a pick there way though. Dee Ford + a 6th for a Jets 7th in 2023.

With our luck Dee Ford would play a full year so maybe we ask for a conditional 2023 pick lol.
