Calvin Austin-WR-Memphis

My favorite rep of his from the senior bowl. It's stuff like this that makes Tyreek Hill more than just a "fast deep threat"

Does he have return skills?

Absolutely.
Not saying he's T.Hill, but he's one of those players you just throw it up and let him go chase it down and make a play. You can't cover him on those corner routes. Can easily separate on quick slants and dig routes. Must have to pair with Lance's strong arm.

Yes. He's one of those smaller shifty guys that can house it just by making a couple guys miss.

Kinda gives me shorter / faster Anthony Miller or Jamison Crowder vibes. Like the quintessential annual draft crush.
Feels like we need a burner like him and / or a player like Watson with speed / length as Lance does like to throw those deep fades from his college days (also that deep dime to Aiyuk against HOU that went incomplete)

Interdasting. How's his blocking? We've learned by now that if you don't block well, you don't play.

Man we haven't had legit speed since Goodwin. We need a real field stretcher. It would help out trey so much.

Having someone that can quickly get open like Austin would be great when facing teams like the Rams with aggressive pass rushes. If Lance knows that he can always look to Austin or Kittle if he has to dump the ball off quickly, that is huge for a young QB's confidence.

Guys like Austin are always great in theory. But these speed guys don't always pan out. For every tyreek hill there is a john Ross. If Kyle drafts him ill be excited cause for the most part Kyle has nailed receiver position.

Austin is far more than a speed guy. Austin can use his quickness to beat DB's right off the line. He has the quickness and agility to win in the short to intermediate area and the speed to house it if he catches a defense slipping.

Undersized but quite willing.
