All the Niners need is one speedy designated pass rusher to come in on third downs opposite Bosa, just like what Dee Ford was supposed to be. I think there is a very realistic chance that 6 edge rushers - Hutchinson, Thibs, Walker, Ojabo, Karlaftis, and Johnson - are all gone in the first half of day 1. This would likely push Mafe into round 1 as the next best pure edge guy. If that happens, Drake and Ebiketie are unlikely to be there at 61. Ignoring the ability to move around and any potential compensation for Jimmy, if we are dead set on drafting an edge player and everything goes down like I outlined, we'd likely have to reach a bit and draft guys like Robinson or Malone at 61 cus they'll likely be gone by the time we pick again given how quickly supply is going to dry up.

In that case I'm going BPA. I'm not taking Dominique Robinson or Malone at 61.

he doesn't have the elite speed but is very physical and has good length i think he fits our zone scheme very well

Sam Williams is testing off the charts he might be the biggest riser out of the EDGE positions

Several good edge prospects that could fill that #2 pass rushing roll. Despite all those fast 40 times, none of them are as fast as Nick Bosa's 10 yard split. (1.55)

I wonder if Thibodeaux will drop a little because he left early yesterday after his 40. He skipped Oregon's bowl game to prepare for the combine and now he says he wants to prepare for his pro day. He came to Oregon as one of their highest rated recruits in history and had a decent but not great career. He played in spurts and often seemed to disappear. His production in a league that isn't full of great teams was a little disappointing.
