2022 OL prospects

He played center at the Senior bowl for the first time and I thought he did a really good job overall. His biggest issue coming in was size and he measured in at 313lbs (like that).

I think he's a perfect zone blocking IOL and looking like a early day 3 pick (possibly a comp 3rd range).

He could develop behind Mack for a year and be a backup IOL yr one.

You see who his comp is ? I'm good with him
One prospect no one is talking about is Jamaree Salyer from Georgia. Kid was the starting LT this year for the Natonal Champs but will likely kick inside in the pros. He was one of the two best pass blocking OT's in the SEC this year with Darian Kinnard (Kentucky) being the other. Someone to consider in the early rounds to help fortify the IOL.

How is he as a run blocker? He a massive human and that alone helps in PP. I feel like his feet a pretty slow and not sure how he would be out in space/in the second level. Worth checking out again though
Sean Rhyan. Mostly played LT at UCLA, but may be better suited at guard. Quite a few clips in here on him moving in space and getting to the next level.

Ed Ingram. Played LG at RG for LSU. Plenty of tape against high level SEC competition. Very athletic for his size. One of the better pull blockers in the class in terms of identifying the right man to block, being athletic enough to get there, and then delivering.

He can play both zone/gap blocking schemes

Here's another breakdown by tiers and projected draft round. This should clear things up for some people.

To you point above, Salyer may lack the quickness to get where he needs to get. I like Ingram more for our scheme. Both SEC guys too which I like. But the question remains, does our outside zone scheme change with Trey behind C?

Yeah Parham is one of my favorite guard prospects. Think he would be a great fit for the Niners. Especially if he has the chops to maybe play C too would be even better.

He's not your prototypical "outside zone" IOL, but he moves well enough for our scheme which has slowly become more multiple anyway.
Who are the best RT candidates for the 49ers?

Depending of what they get for Jimmy, there could be several options. Targeting a RT in the 3rd, I've been looking at

Abraham Lucas
Rasheed Walker

Other potential. RG/RT candidates could be

Sean Rhyan
Tyler Smith

I've been avoiding several of the 6'6+ 300lbs options.
Bernhard Raimann
Max Mitchell
I love their mobility, but it seems like we need more power to weight ratio at RT.
My dude NY

Had NY and I been able to alternate each year on our shadow draft OL, we would easily have the greatest OL in the game today with stellar depth. LOL

He can play both zone/gap blocking schemes

Which is what we do here. You need to be able to do just about every blocking scheme here now.
