WR vs. DB 1-on-1s at the goal line are incredibly difficult for the defense, but @UCLAFootball WR Kyle Philips continuing to show he's on another level with his footwork and route running at @ShrineBowl practices pic.twitter.com/mGRxlBCtS3

From what I've read and seen he doesn't drop balls either

Kyle Philips' tape is littered with him getting open on 3rd and 4th down. He's reliable. pic.twitter.com/qnOsNRWNmF

I think he's a early day 3 guy say our 4th rd pick...I'm all about a player like these at that draft value.

UCLA WR Kyle Philips has been a long time favorite of mine. He's an under the radar prospect and the topic of my next Rookie Profile film. Here's a sneak peek at his game. 🔥📈

Could be a Hunter Renfrow type dynasty asset.

That's why my comp for him is Hunter Renfrow. If he was more explosive (overall) he would be going much higher. Every team can use a WR like that on their team. Dude knows how to get open and move the chains. He can return punts as well.
For me I'm looking to build up that WR corps. We already got our two top guys, plus Kittle. I don't expect them to see less snaps going forward. I think we do need that chain mover slot guy who can find the soft spots in the zone and we need also need a guy that can spread out the field/return kicks. Philips can be that slot guy that returns kicks. I like his value. Obviously much more dynamic WRs but is it worth spending up for?

But for real, how's his blocking? One of the reasons the 49ers brought back Sanu and Jennings gained more playing time was blocking. It's also why Richie James could never get on the field.

Haha. Trent Taylor redux.
I believe Kyle wants a deep ball guy to stretch the defense. Having Goodwin on the field really opened up the offense.

One of about 5 WR/KR options in this draft. Could also take Christian Watson, Calvin Austin IIII, Bo Melton, Deven Thompkins, Jalen Nailor, or Phillips.

I like Watson and Danny Gray. I think Lance needs a guy with a big catch radius, and or a guy who can get under it and let it drop in the bucket while continues to develop his precision

Top true slot receiver in the 2022 #NFLDraft? @UCLAFootball's Kyle Philips for many.

Shoulder shakes, decisive route steps, and finishing ability through contact. Dominant #ShrineBowl week too.
Think he'll end up a top-75 overall pick and a starting slot WR in the NFL Week 1. pic.twitter.com/ilLQzaUvpM
dude has Hunter Renfrow written all over him

Yeah I wouldn't hate getting him at all.
