Cam Taylor Britt, CB/S, Nebraska

Decided to make a thread for Cam Taylor-Britt because he's been in almost all of my mock draft simulations lol

He has TRUE versatility to play nearly every position in our defensive backfield and IMO he's one of the most physical DBs in this class. This kid can seriously do it all.

I'm hoping he will be our first 3rd round pick but he might be gone before our first pick. I think between Eman, Ward, and Taylor-Britt we would have one of the most physical defensive backfields in the NFL which is something we haven't had in awhile imo.

He's a hell of a prospect, the question is where to play him... is he a safety? If the staff think so then he moves up our draft board for sure because of the true versatility to play a position of need and be able to step into outside assignments or slot. I love him and would be happy to see him on the team
Yup WB, I'm a fan of this kid too. Like I said in another thread, I really like this defensive back class overall for the depth it has.
our director of player personnel was at Nebraska's pro-day...Ran Carthon. Had one of the big dogs there which is kinda eye-opening for Nebraska. I thought it was for Jurgens BUT maybe it's for this kid either way I'm a fan.
If it's not Marcus Jones at pick #91 or #105, Taylor-Britt would be a great pick at that point. Has the athletic ability to play boundary corner and physicality to play safety, too. Hope the Niners make it a reality.

I gotta watch more on Jones...he's super small (5'8" 175lbs) but twitchy as hell. Sounds like SF is super interested in him though. met at the combine and are having a zoom meeting with him today.

It's a fit question with Jones. He doesn't have the size of a Taylor-Britt or the "prototypical" CB profile of the Niners CB's, but the dude is a baller. He played boundary corner against much bigger WR's and held his own. As an NFL CB, he may fit better in the slot and Jones is the BEST KR/PR in the draft. Either one of these two would make me very happy as a Niners fan.

Yeah I think a goal of SF should be to have a sticky slot DB. We face a ton of amazing slot WRs and that should be a priority in the secondary.
I don't think he can play outside...SS/Slot type of guy imo
Definitely physical and violent

I think I like him and Cross the most out of Safety/potential slot corner guys

I think outside corner would be his worst position too. But I still like him at corner more than Jimmie Ward at FS if that makes sense. He's got upside at all positions. SS and slot is perfect for him.
