Obviously it doesn't change anything right now but that's pretty huge the Panthers didn't draft Willis. They still don't have a viable starting QB. Whatever else Jimmy is at least he's that.

Smart pick by them. Coach needs to win now, not develop a reach of rookie qb. Buy low on hopefully Jimmy and maybe he saves the coach. If not, fire coach and use high pick next year on better qb crop.

Agreed. Id take Jimmy. There is at least the track record of success with the right players. Baker has had players and has been meh.

Now they really just need to find some guards with left tackle and right tackle taken care. They'll have some decent prospects to choose from in the 4th and 5th rounds.
