Like the idea, wonder if they go draft or vet

The usual supects like Achane and Palmer, the Cincinatti WRs at 4.30 range. Keaton Mitchell another RB to watch

If we didn't trade for McCaffrey, I'd have wanted us to draft Achane. Want that Mostert homerun threat back. Hope we pick up a speed back as an UDFA. No drafted running backs.
Post combine top 50. DJ talks to all the executives so it's worth acknowledging

While Byron Young doesn't really fit the mold of the DE they usually go for…they do like/need that explosive edge rusher similar to Samson. I think he's a real possibility with one of their 3rds

I thought he was used more as a DT at Alabama??

I'd take him in the 5th if he's there.. it's always better to have a young talented guy as the third stringer and hopes he develop..

There is a Byron young at Alabama, and a Byron Young at Tennessee. NY85 is talking about the Tennessee player, who plays outside.

One of them needs to change his name and stop confusing all of us idiots.

He ran a 4.4 at the combine. He might be able to bring some of the speed rush element that we've been missing since Dee Ford.

One of my favorite linemans in the draft

Thanks for posting this. It was a good read. I noticed that QB Will Levis is ranked 12th on this list, yet Jeremiah is highly critical of him. In fact, he didn't say anything positive at all about him. Which, to me, is kind of strange for a player ranked this high.

It makes me wonder if Brock Purdy's "come out of nowhere" success has some pundits like Jeremiah revising draft lists. In other words, take away Purdy and his breakout season. Is Levis ranked as high? Or at all?
Since I already looked at one draft ranking list for the upcoming NFL draft, I thought it would be fun to go back and look at the 2022 draft rankings for the position of QUARTERBACK. Specifically, how NFL pundits felt about Brock Purdy. You may enjoy some of these:

"He isn't a pocket passer, nor is he a mobile, throw-on-the-run kind of guy. He's almost an enigma." Source: Pro Football Network. RANK: 8

No Review: Source: Pro Football Focus (PFF). RANK: 8

No Review: Source: Draft Tec. RANK: 15

No Review: Source: Sporting News: Did not crack the Top Ten from Vinnie Iyer

"The narrative that's developed around Purdy now is the notion that he can't consistently throw the deep ball -- and it's something that doesn't show up on tape a ton because of the way the Iowa State offense was run, tailored to standout rusher Breece Hall." Source: Sports Illustrated. RANK: 9

STRENGTH: Athletic quarterback who is a threat to leave the pocket and gain positive yardage at any time. Possesses very good vision balance, elusiveness and deceptive speed and power as a runner. WEAKNESS: Has struggled with his decision-making and needs to improve his pre-snap recognition skills to read defenses and see blitzes. Doesn't decipher information as quickly as you would like, but does see the entire field and understands coverage. Source: NFL Draft Buzz: RANK: 7

"Purdy looks like a third-day pick and backup-caliber player." Source: Walter Football. RANK: 7

"I think Purdy will [get drafted] just because he's a smart dude that made plays at Iowa State," an NFC executive said. "But he's f---ing tiny (6-0 5/8, 212)." Source: NFL.com. RANK: 9

No Review: Source: USA Today. RANK: 14

No Review: Source: Great Blue North Draft Report. RANK: 11

No Review: Source: NBC Sports Edge. RANK: 16. Comparable to: Jake Browning

No Review: Source: Draft Kings. RANK: 8

"Purdy has been all over the map, two seasons ago he looked like he was headed for the first round, but in the two seasons since, it seems that Purdy has not only stagnated, he's regressed. I see a lot of Jeff Garcia in his game. I don't believe he has the physical traits to sustain success at the next level." Source: NFL Draft Diamonds. RANK: 8
