2023 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

Yeah, with the reports of Aiyuk, big contracts about to hit and the FO's propensity to think a year-two out, i can see why WR is being seriously considered. Plus, so many have come in the 2nd and 3rd rounds lately.

This ain't the draft to invest much in WR imo. Down for finding a role player with upside late, but I'm not counting on much.

Oh he's fun to watch. He's too small for me to take that early. If he's chilling in the 5th sweet

He's small, no doubt, but his size hasn't been an issue thus far in his football career. Head up, sure, youd be worried about his ability to work through contact, but his open field vision, lateral agility and cutting ability are all so elite so as to make it so he never presents himself as a target upon which defenders can hit square, and he has displayed all over his tape more than enough contact balance to consistently break through arm tackles. He is effective both on inside zone and out, is a true home run threat as what will immediately be one of the fastest players in the NFL, and can lineup in the slot, offering more in the passing game than just a screen or checkdown option. He has the skill set of Austin Ekeler with the acceleration of Raheem Mostert and the full-speed change of direction of Tyreek Hill. His size is what it is, but I only see it as a major knock for his ineffectiveness as a pass blocker.

Yeah, WR wasn't on my bucket list but just trying to see why that may be a priority to ShanaLynch.

Combine snub, so media is late to him. 2nd rounder imo

Dude is a stud. Man this draft is chalk full of good IOL.

Have we been connected to him at all?

As an Aggie fan, I love me some Achane. As a 9er fan, I don't see a path for him to touch the ball more than 5 times a game.

As you said he's not a great pass blocker. I also don't think he's anything to write home about receiving. And at that size, I don't know man.

I'm with NY here not in the 3rd. And even the 5th I'd rather take a RB I felt comfortable with I could use as more than a gadget type RB. That said, he and Mason could be a decent combo in the event of Mitchell & CMC injury

Yeah I'm just not using a 3rd on a RB. Achane is fun to watch. If we're getting later into day 3 and he's chilling there, I could justify it.

I don't think so…here's a great spreadsheet of who we've spoken to at any point. Steph has been killing it with that.

No problem, pretty sure she's been updating as it goes.

I had been checking for Warren McClendon everyday for weeks and hadn't seen anything about us. Seeing her spreadsheet had a lot of names I hadn't seen yet. Now only name I'd like to see is that Stetson fella.

I'm starting to get on the McClendon train. Between him, Steen, and Morris I would stoked to come away with one of the 3

3rd round does seem a little high for him. Wait until the 5th where they have 3 picks or maybe move up to the 4th if possible.

SF has met with Israel Abanikanda from Pitt multiple times now. Formal meeting at the combine then I think they had dinner prior to his pro-day this week.

He's an athletic freak. Legit 4.3 speed at 217lbs. I'm not burning a 3rd on any RB…but later day 3, go right ahead. I'm not a TDP guy and Mitchell can't stay on the field.
