2023 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

Who are? Where are you getting a 150 board from?

If Jonathan Mingo is there with one of our 3rds I'm taking him. 6'2 220 lbs, ran 4.46, reminds me of Deebo/Aquan Boldin. He can line up at any position, even lined up at inline TE, he's the best blocking WR in the class as well. I think Kyle would love him. Position flexibility, athletic freak (9.97 RAS), good run blocker. If he pans out we can let Deebo walk or trade him and get something back before his contract ends. I think the coaching staff feels like Danny Gray is in the Sermon, ambry thomas, TDP, Tarvarous Moore, 3rd round pick let down category. But I hear what your saying, other than a select handful of WR's I wouldn't go out of my way in drafting one but I think there's a handful in that mid teir 3rd-5th round that could be really good.

I agree with you. He has yac and tackle breaking ability like Deebo. If Deebo is traded and 49ers can draft a good RT, that would save $23 million next year and help solidify the weakest link on the team. Would hate to trade Deebo but he's been hurt every year. A player's best ability is availability.

TDN Top 150:
133 - Jonathan Mingo
123 - Puka Nacu
100 - Tank Dell
137 - Grant DuBose
128 - Andrei Iosivas
62 - Xavier Hutchinson
94 - Ronnie Bell
144 - Tre Tucker

Plus:
175 - Don'tayvion Wicks
184 - Michael Wilson
--- Pre Draft Player Connections Update ---

POS - Volume | TDN Top 150
WR - 24 | 8
S - 24 | 8
T - 17 | 8
D/ER - 17 | 6
CB - 15 | 4
TE - 13 | 4
LB - 14 | 2
DT - 15 | 1
RB - 11 | 1
IOL - 9 | 0
QB - 5 | 0
PK - 1 | 0

We'd expect the top positions of interest to be S, T, ER, CB and TE and that's exactly what we have here.

WR seems to be the only outlier here. But maybe not?

Thats very true (about availability) but that's a line that's more appropriate for the Verretts, Kinlaws, Dee Fords, etc. Samuel has been a part of every run and is our bug play guy when one is needed. You'd be making the team weaker as a cost saving measure because of the 17 games missed in 4 years. We weren't getting good trade offers when he had his highest value. Deebo's best value is here (or a team like Kansas City) and thus we won't get a good deal. He'll play out that contract and be with us through 2025 minimum.

Prettt nteresting and numbers wise, it makes sense. But considering he is coming from Ohio State, where he had great coaching, how much better do you think he will get?

No sure. I guess you could toss Dre'Mont Jones and Sam Hubbard under that same umbrella

That article was a good read. I really like the Omenihu comp, and you can see it in the clips. It's hard to know how close to his ceiling he is, but even if he taps out at between 4.5 an 6 sacks a year that at least would replace Omenihu's production. I'm totally on board with him being one of the thirds.

You're right. If Harrison becomes either of those guys, it's a great pick.

Indeed. Real competition for Drake. I think we can honestly say the D-line is back to the strength adding Harrison, a good run stuffer, and one more possible edge rusher to develop.

Sup with no love for Ricky Stromberg? Watching some of his stuff (whatever I can find) bro looks like a wild boar out there lol.

I keep seeing him late day 3 in mocks and I'm confused…what am I missing?
Can't wait for the draft. Even with no 1st or 2nd, feel like niners will be active

The way this draft is shaping up we should have no problems finding some contributors.
