Don't forget Safety. 49ers met with a bunch of them or have interest.

I'm pumped, can't wait for the draft. It's my 2nd favorite sporting event of the year behind the Super Bowl/Niners playoff games

I'm in the minority, but I'm trying to get on board with this EDGE class and I just can't see it. Who in, or what do you like overall about this draft class?

This isn't my exact order but obviously the first handful will be out out of our range but I think there's a lot of talent in rounds 3-7 that could be solid developmental guys. I think this years class is overall deeper than last years for sure. After about the top 10 guys last year it really fell off. I think this year has a good ~20 guys who I think could be productive nfl players.

Will Anderson - Alabama
Nolan Smith - Georgia
Will McDonald IV - Iowa St
Myles Murphy - Clemson
Tyree Wilson - Texas tech
BJ Okulari - LSU
Zach Harrison - Ohio St
Keion White - Georgia Tech
Byron Young - Tennessee
Isaiah McGuire - Missouri
KJ Henry - Clemson
Mike Morris - Michigan
Ochaon Mathis - Nebraska
Villami Fehoko
Thomas Incoon
Jose Ramirez

Really like MM's mini mock on front page.
DL Keondre Coburn is an elite run stopper in the 2023 NFL Draft. Coburn had a private workout with the #Saints. Virtuals with the #Buccaneers. Dinner with the #49ers, Saints, #Titans.

Nice little dinner visit, I like Coburn in rd 5-7, don't think I would take him earlier just because he's really only a 2 down guy.

According to sources, Toledo tight end Jamal Turner had a Top 30 visit with the #49ers.

No Nick Herbig as a pure pass rush specialist?

Not a big "analytics" guy by any means, but he doesn't meet any size, length, explosion, or agility metric thresholds. He would be an outlier for sure, and not someone this regime seems to lean towards.

I'm with adrianlesnar, I think there's a ton of depth and guys that can contribute in a rotation…there's not a ton of blue chip guys.

overall that's my feeling on this draft as a whole. This class is meh. If you're not gonna have a 1st or 2nd this is the year for it.

This is what I love about having 11 picks on days 2 and 3. The gap just isn't that great to justify tradeups and we can get a lot of great rotational depth and future starting caliber guys later. Just hoping they don't do the dumb things this regime can't resist. No drafted running backs, no 3rd round kickers, no wide receivers in the 3rd, etc.

Yeah I agree. I still expect some sort of trade up…we can't keep 11 draft picks on this roster. s**t I don't know if we can keep half that.

Oh you know they will overdraft someone…honestly I'm fine if they draft a WRs in the 3rd

I was very focused on trading up from the 3x 3rds (as far as they could get with 1x 3rd this year, and an extra 3rd next year).

But, now I'm hoping they move up from a mid round 5th this year with a future pick next year into the 4th. There are several players I like that I don't think will make it to the 5th.
It's becoming more and more clear what this FO is prioritizing for this draft.

--- Pre Draft Player Connections Update ---

POS - Volume | TDN Top 150
WR - 28 | 8
S - 25 | 8
T - 17 | 8
D/ER - 18 | 6
CB - 17 | 5
TE - 15 | 5
LB - 14 | 2
DT - 16 | 1
RB - 12 | 1
IOL - 9 | 0
QB - 6 | 0
PK - 4 | 0

Lynch usually gets the first pick so expect a S, ER or CB. Kyle will lock up the next pick with a WR, T or TE.

Three more weeks until the draft. Then we can start the annual ritual where half of us get overly optimistic and the other half rips the front office for not drafting the right players. At least we'll have something to talk about besides Brock and Trey. The only reason to watch the first night is the possibility of a trade up and to see which teams reach for a QB. Days 2 and 3 should be busy ones for the Niners. I expect a lot of trading up and back.

What's this actually based off?
