Some nice clips here, I especially like the double-team split around :40

We need to have young players that can learn and step in in the next few years.

Yeah i dont expect any of the draft picks to contribute much this year. These guys will have the time to develop and maybe take the place of the starters in a few years. Webzone will be busy with the bust label this year. Can't wait...

Don't know if we've talked to him, but I like what I've seen out of DE Isaiah McGuire in limited review. Sets the edge well and shows not only power, but nice hands to win on the pass rush.

Mid-round guy it seems, but I think someone with good potential.

We met with him.

Name to watch: TE Julian Hill, Campbell
Another potential RT who hardly has received a mention so far in draft prep. Has to be a consideration.

What does "for us" mean? Your top rated tackle that should be available at 99? Best scheme fit?

Both really. Though not necessarily best scheme fit. But a scheme fit and IMO best available at the 99 spot if we are talking between Freeland, Morris and Steen

Would be a perfect Brunskill replacement.

Formal meeting at combine, held on-campus workout with him, and top 30 visit.

Hopefully they're not using a top 100 pick (or around there) for a Brunskill replacement…I see him being mocked inside the top 100 and I just don't see it. Gladly take him in the 5th.

This guy Emory Hunt has Daniels as his #1 OT in the draft. Idk anything about Hunt or how good he is at scouting OL. Just a fyi. Anyone know anything about him? Any credibility?

I got a bunch of guys over McClendon…his recovery balance is pretty bad. I feel like he's got a narrow base and isn't twitchy enough to compensate.

Guys in our range I got over him are…

(in no real order).

Morris
Steens
Richards
Warren
Daniels
Saldiveri
Freeland

Seen him mocked as early as 3rd (TDN) to 7th. Brugler has him going in the 5th

Yeah will be interesting to see. I feel like a lot of people have these OTs all over the place

I'm looking forward to it, but you are correct. However, we are well set up for a 1986 type of draft. If we can get some guys that will be kept backups, couple of starters (at FS, tackle, DT on base downs, returner, nickel corner), this will be a very successful draft and will allow us to maintain our top of the roster big salaries or even move off of a player for a cheaper replacement. There are also bigger unknowns with this draft as well as the excitement of getting great value players if/when someone slides.
