I dont think we need to look for a starting OC anymore

Rpokie wouldn't start anyway. Id definitely draft one to groom though.

Brendel is not the long term answer, unless there's some other center news I missed. Mazi is also a draftable target
Rashee rice is real impressive. I don't think he's as big as listed, but if he's 6'2" + as advertised, he's just what this offense needs.

Just saying the rookie won't start. I want a center to take over for Brendel, but I can't see it happening in 2023.

I think they should sign or trade for a younger center, then draft a rookie RT.

Any good RT prospects this year?

My OT watchlist so far:
Peter Skoronski, Northwestern
Jeremy James, Ole Miss
Blake Freeland, BYU
Jaxson Kirkland, Washington
*Dawand Jones, Ohio State
Jaelyn Duncan, Maryland
*Mathew Bergeron, Syracuse
Broderick Jones, Georgia
Javon Foster, Missouri
*Cody Mauch, NDSU
Olu Fashanu, Penn St
Anton Harrison, Oklahoma
Carter Warren, Pitt
Jordan Morgan, Arizona
*Darnell Wright, Tennessee

Asterisks for players that I really like but that I also think are realistic targets to be there for our pick in the second round. Not sure if Mauch sticks at tackle, but I'd be okay with him at right guard and giving Burford a chance at tackle. Wright just had an impressive showing vs Bama.

Why would a team give away a promising center though? Kyle needs to just draft a highly touted prospect and groom him into who he and Foerster want him to be. Totally agree at RT. Id draft two as insurance for Trent.

Agreed that most teams won't give up good centers, but they do hit FA sometimes.

Either way, they need to upgrade OT and center this off season.

They tried to get Connor McGovern 3 years ago. Pretty sure he will be the target again.
Is Jared Verse a better pass rush prospect than Jermaine Johnson??!
This is going to be the absolute most boring draft ever.

We'll trade one of our 3rd round picks for a 6th string DE with upside,
this kid BOBO from UCLA is a TALENT... damnnnn he good !!!
Shut this thread down. We'll trade our remaining picks for a small tackle who we start at center or guard or another DE we start at 1-tech
