Not a great start for the draft class that most non-apologists were skeptical about... Thankfully a lot of time to turn things around, obviously.
I haven't followed the draft process for a couple years now, but I'm baffled at the NFL allowing this Nick Herbig kid to fall to the 4th round. Herbig looks like a white version of Haason Reddick. Explosive edge that clearly understand how to work a pass-rush plan featuring an arsenal moves. So far I've seen him do an awesome job of softening the edge by marrying his feet and hands. Stupid bend and ability to turn on a dime. You can tell this kid has innate pass-rush instincts. He took the inside counter with ease after a tackle overset on him yesterday.

I can't believe he ended up in Pittsburgh with TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith. Steelers obviously know how to spot 'em. This cross-chop is so f**king filthy and then to pump the brakes like that around the corner. The stride manipulation around the arc...SHEEEESH!!!

Got damn it's good to see a Hawaii boy actually play well in the NFL. Nick Herbig is my nephews good friend and high school teammate. I was hoping the 9ers would take him.

Look Hero I like you a lot. But if you say a player reminds you of Reddick can you not use a clip of said player hitting a QBs arm as they are throwing. Thanks

Damn, I didn't even realize the parallels. Purdy better keep his head on a swivel week 1.

And the 49ers could get one of those in the 4th round too, just stop over thinking things and choosing nice guys. lol j/k
Players I am watching this weekend:

Brandon Dorlus EDGE Oregon
*Built like a combination between a defensive tackle and edge defender, surprising agility and well-rounded nature as a technician.

Kingsley Suamataia OT BYU
*top-notch strength, projecting as an immediate impact run blocker in any scheme, raw in pass protection though

Johnny Wilson WR Florida State
*6'6″ 40-yard dash in the 4.5 range, 36″ arms, a 35.5″ vertical, a 10'5″ broad jump, and a max speed over 21 MPH.

Joshua Gray OT Oregon State
*move inside to guard at the next level, looked good in zone run blocking

Trikweze Bridges CB Oregon
*A long corner at 6'2" and 199 pounds, primarily an off-ball corner who is comfortable in Oregon's zone approach.

Ainias Smith WR Texas A&M
*Experience at both WR and RB, Very willing pass protector, A coach's dream (does ALL the dirty work)

Dontay Corleone DT Cincinnati
*later round run stuffer

Kitan Oladapo S Oregon State
*defensive leader of the Beavers' defense, terrific tackler and capable blitzer, struggles mightily when he's a slot corner , right role will get him in coverage against tight ends, bigger receivers, or as a roamer.
Johnny Dixon CB Penn State - like what I am seeing today against Illinois, might be a Jimmy Ward replacement

CBS Sports Draft has us picking 32nd overall.

Josh Kelly WR Washington State, is a junior but looks like someone to keep an eye on
My son Reed is so good.
As the original conductor for the Achane train, I am very sad.
