Noah Gindorff-TE-North Dakota State

This is an especially good year to bring up NDSU when looking at the 49ers draft. NDSU is an FCS school that has been extremely dominant on the level of Bama and an NFL prospect factory. There's three prospects in particular that would fit this offense really well. I've seen Cody Mauch brought up several times as a potential future starter at tackle, there's Hunter Luepke who could step in for Juice as a versatile fullback/offensive weapon and the last of the three is Gindorff who is a terrific late round TE prospect. Massively built at 6'6", 270, he's a verycapable blocker that also shows good awareness as a receiver, not really a vertical threat but more of the classic "find the hole in the zone, sit down and catch it" kind of TE with reliable hands

If Shanahan is in the market for a monster TE that blocks his ass off but is also a reliable target, especially in the redzone(38 catches in college, 11 of them TD's), this is a good option in the 6th/7th round. Gindorff accepted his invite to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl after missing a lot of the season with injury, he'll also be at the Combine along with Luepke and Mauch.

He's in my mock as our 5th round pick. Dwelley and Woerner never stepped up as our #2. So we need to make an investment in the position given Kittle has a lot of miles on him now.

Agree

And if Kittle doesn't have to be a blocker he still has it as a receiver as shown when Purdy took over.

This is all I wanted and its clear KS wants a reliable no 2. We honestly should take two TEs because I can see two strong rookies replacing what we have.
